| Our recent stay in Studio Charlmagne was fabulous. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything that's happening on rue St. Antoine, yet with all the quiet and privacy one could wish for. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We recommend this apartment without hesitation, and would love to stay here again on our next trip to Paris. |

| Thank you for the most amazing time spent in your phenomenal apartment! We were totally blown away by how cleverly and tastefully it’s been done up and how amazingly situated it is. Looking out on the city and the Paris rooftops from the apartment was as thrilling as seeing the sights of the city itself. We actually looked forward to getting back to the apartment each day. The interior and the views through the open windows with the privacy afforded by being on the upper floors make this the most charming and exotic apartment we’ve ever stayed in. This is without a doubt our location of choice for our foreign travels. |

| I've stayed two times at Jim's Charlemagne apartment, and cannot say enough about how wonderful it is in terms of comfort, cleanliness, convenience. While it's very close to great shopping and transportation, the apartment itself is very quiet. The hotel staff that helps you with check-in, restaurant reservations, airport taxis and luggage storage if needed are terrific as well. Highly recommend! |

| We have really enjoyied our stay here, as we always do in Paris. Apartment Charlemagne is a wonderfully set up apartment we have not wanted for very much. Charlemagne’s view down to the river is very nice and a surprise is waking up to the sounds of birds in the morning, something we have not experienced before in central Paris. The hotel staff have been very helpful and pleasant to deal with, a pleasure being met at the airport by the hotel staff and well worth the convenience (cf a Taxi). I have no hesitation in recommending Charlemagne to others. |

| We LOVED the apartment! From the moment to when we were picked up from the airport to time we left it was spectacular. We also had the chance to stay in a holtel but really felt the best time was in the apartment. It had wonderful views, easy to walk to the Metro. Great cafes around the corner. I also got to discover Monoprix which was a blast. This is definitely the way to live and stay in Paris. Everything we needed was in the apartment. The internet connection was really helpful to do research of sites and eateries. Therw is nothing that I would change except to be able to stay longer! |

I think we fell in love with 16 Rue Charlemagne before even seeing the apartment. The great double doors protecting the courtyard from the street, the small lighted doorway inside that must have, at one time, contained a concierge, were essentially Parisian. The well-worn wooden stairway that spiralled up to the fourth floor had a feeling of history about it, and a palpable sense of place. One could imagine Commisaire Maigret, complete with trilby and pipe, with Lucas in tow, padding softly upwards.
When we opened the door to the apartment proper, we were met with a sense of luminescence and space that made the room appear much larger than it was. The evening sun filled the room through the long french windows, making the paintings on the walls glow with their own life. The tiny, perfectly equipped kitchenette and the bright and spotless bathroom completed this gem.
The view from the windows is of Paris rooftops, at once urban and romantic, architectural and whimsical. We enjoyed it most in the evenings as the blue of the dusk deepened and the lights began to come on in the neighbouring buildings. In the mornings, birds sang lustily on the rooftops (in February!) as early Parisians walked their dogs and the smell of coffee rose from Le Framboiserie (the café on the ground floor).
It’s a short walk to Notre Dame and back, one our six-year-old managed easily. Rue de Rivoli is two streets over. The Île St Louis and the Île de la Cité, the oldest parts of Paris, are on the doorstep. Go through the courtyard and out onto the Rue St Antoine and there’s a supermarket, a patisserie, a wine merchant, and a gourmet shop all strung along. That’s not to mention the fruit and vegetables, the cafés, the super crêpe stall and the restaurants within reach. The St Paul metro stop is just there too.
If, no, when we return to Paris, we’ll not be looking further than this apartment: homely yet chic, romantic yet practical, escapist yet central, and très, très parisien.

| I stayed for 10 days, and could have stayed indefinitely, because the apartment offers the perfect haven from which to explore this lovely city. The location is superb, the apartment is airy, spacious and provides a lovely place to come home to. It is extremely well equipped and all in all, a home from home, except that it goes one better - IT IS IN PARIS. |

Studio Charlemagne was absolutely wonderful! We stayed there from April 16-21, 2008 and could not have been happier with the accommodations. This a private apartment in a perfect location in Paris, located on a quiet and picturesque street. Yet what is so special is that you walk up the street a short distance in any direction and turn the corner, and you are in the midst of many restaurants and shops! It is close to two metros for ease in getting-around, and within comfortable walking distance to the beautiful Seine, Opera Bastille and the lovely Isle de Saint-Louis area. The studio itself is so much larger than a plain hotel room, and is very well appointed. It is a combined bedroom/sitting room, nicely designed and furnished, with a separate kitchen and bathroom, all very nicely updated. We were so happy to have it to come back to each day, because it was so comfortable! The lift was a big plus, as the stairs were being renovated (no noise, no smell, no problem.) Though this is a private property, all dealings are through the Hotel Saint-Louis Marais, located nearby. The staff was friendly, accommodating, charming and, well...classy. We will never stay anywhere else in Paris!

My husband and I stayed at the apartment on Rue Charlemagne the week of March 3rd 2008. It was simply lovely! Clean, modern, cozy, with a view of the Seine on a quiet street. The location was ideal for us and the team at the Hotel St. Louis Marais were truly considerate and totally helpful. Jean Michel met us at the airport with croissants and bottled water, helped us up to our flat (via lift!) and was extremely helpful with all details and questions. It was also great to have a cleaning person come in halfway thru our stay (included). The DSL was a plus too as was the flat screen TV. The Queen bed was comfy and cozy and much needed after hours of walking the streets of Paris (and climbing up historic sites!). We'd go back in a flash if we could. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Jim, you have a wonderful team taking care of your Paris home. Manuela and Ayman are first rate! Thanks for a memorable 50th birthday in Paris!! all the best, Deb Lyons |

| My wife and I stayed for the last two great weeks of Oct. at 16 Rue Charlemagne, a different studio from the one at Rue St. Paul where we stayed last year, but both great in their own way. The lift, internet access, decor, feeling of spaciousness, location, price and value make this a most desireable Paris address. Don' hesitate to stay here. |

This apartment is perfect for the solo traveller. On a quiet side street, this apartment is just close enough to a main street to be convenient but far enough away to block out street noise. The apartment is clean, reasonably priced, and completely charming. |

| We had a wonderful time at this lovely studio apartment in quaint old building. The apartment has been newly refurbished and has all modern conveniences and appliances. The location is wonderful. The neighborhood is safe and location is convenient to everything.....Notre Dame Cathedral; Latin Quarter; Bastille; restaurants, shops, Metro, ...AND there is a lift....a real rarity in a small apartment building. The apartment is only about three blocks from the river and right on the other side of the bridge is the Latin Quarter....with lots of restaurants and entertainment. We did not feel at all unsafe walking back to the apartment even past midnight. Bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space and lots of hot water! Everything one would need was provided. GREAT PLACE TO STAY! |

We had a wonderful stay recently in the lovely studio apartment on Rue Charlemagne. We are repeat customers, but this was the first time we had stayed in this location and were so pleased. The staff at the Hôtel Saint Louis Marais took great care of us. Upon check-in, someone took us to the apartment and helped us get settled. They also assisted us with transportation to the airport when it was time to go home. The studio is so light and spacious and has a fabulous view of a quiet street. With amenities like air conditioning, a washer, and a bathtub you feel right at home.
There is a café right downstairs for a quick breakfast or an apéritif after a long day. Everything you need is less than five minutes away. The Metro St Paul is on the Number 1 line so you can be at the Louvre or the Rue de Rivoli in a snap. There are food markets, wine shops, bakeries, and numerous cafes right at your fingertips. Our two favorite photography museums, the Hotel Sully and La Maison Européean de la Photographie, are right around the corner. We even found a little absinthe shop and a great falafel stand recommended by Lenny Kravitz. The Marais truly has everything.

| I recently (May 23-26,2007) stayed in the studio at 16 Rue Charlemagne and was thoroughly pleased. The apartment was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. I will certainly stay there again. I was in Paris for 4 nights and the apartment was only available for 3 nights. This was not at all a problem, however, beacause the first night I stayed in the hotel St.Louis Marais just down the street. The next day my bags were moved for me from the hotel to the residence while I was at lunch. Now THAT is service! |

| Chance! |

| The apartment was perfect. It actually exceeded our expectations. It looked even better than what the pictures indicated. It was a little smaller than we thought, but who cares as it was just my wife and I. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. And the staff at the hotel was very friendly, helpful and accommodating, just as we were told. One very minor problem is that we had difficulty figuring out how to use the washer/dryer, particularly the drying part. We could not find an English version of the owner's manual. We eventually figured it out after trial and error, but the controls were a bit confusing. Paris overall was lovely, and we found the Marais to be very safe, charming, pretty, and cultural. We'll certainly be back one day. I would CERTAINLY recommend this unit to any couple visiting Paris. |

| Lovely, wonderful apartment in a fabulous location on the right bank. We loved staying here for a week (and would have happily stayed longer!) The apartment is so well designed that it is easy to live in, and the ability to cook the ocassional meal and do laundry made our whole trip more relaxed. The St. Paul metro is a short block away and within several blocks are all of the small shops that one could want. Recommended completely without reservation. |

Hi Jim, The apartment was perfect and the staff at the Saint-Louis Marais were wonderful as well. Great location, all the amenities. We walked all over Paris for the entire week and it was so great to come home and relax in the nice HOT bath. And the elevator is a huge help!
We will certainly recommend your apartments to any friends traveling to paris and definitely will stay with you again for our next visit!! Also, I wanted to share that we actually got engaged there this week! On Thursday night my fiance proposed on the steps of the Sacre Coeur. What an amazing trip!! Thanks for giving us a great place to call home. We hope to return again and again... Best Regards, Taunya and Scott

| What a great find! The studio was in a perfect location with a 5 minute walk to the Seine and Ile St Louis and 10-15 minute walk to Notre Dame. The Metro stop is right around the corner from the studio on the main Line 1 - you can be at the Louvre in 10 minutes! Having concierge service at your beck and call was great for dinner reservations and the private van service to/from the airport was fantastic. We loved everything about the apartment and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Paris. |

| I thoroughly enjoyed myself in the apartment. Everything was exactly as advertised and pictured. All of the updated modern appliances, furniture, and bathroom facilities were fantastic. The heat this summer was unbearable, so having air condiditoning was a major plus. In addition, having the support of the concierge at Hotel Saint Louis is a great bonus for first time visitors. The location was ideal;short walk to the restaurants, metro, Marais shops, wine shops, etc. Area was very safe. I even went out late at night walking alone over to the Ile de St. Louis. I plan to stay again at the apartment the next time I am in Paris. |

I spent 6 wks. in Apr/May 2006 in this well- appointed studio. Here is what I found: a bright, cheery space achieved through fresh off-white paint, generous lighting, the creative use of mirrors, and large windows which also offered a pleasant street view...a small efficient kitchen complete with ample counter space and a good fridge which allowed me to frequently "cook in"...an easy-to-use, oh-so-convenient washer/dryer combo...a clean modern bathroom with vanity counter space and excellent shower head in the glass-partitioned tub/shower (loved the instant, plentiful hot water)...a sitting area w/ comfortable loveseat...a desk/bookshelf niche worked especially well for time on my computer (the WI-FI connection was terrific) and for stashing my paraphenalia...lots of storage space (incl. under the raised-platform bed, useful for storing luggage out of sight). And the Le Marais location just off the main street of Rue St. Antoine was central and lively with many nearby boulangeries, cafes, and shops, the G20 and Monoprix supermarches, metro stop St. Paul, and but a block from the Seine and a short walk to the Bastille and the best Sunday open-air marche in Paris. Assistance for solving problems or answering questions by the friendly staff at the nearby Hotel St. Louis-Marais was most helpful. |

I was the first guest to stay in this beautifully renovated studio. Not everything was functioning, but Cyril, the concierge went out of his way to make sure my stay was as promised.
The location is perfect, one block from the Seine and the Ile St Louis as well as the metro, yet very quiet at night.
The local shops offer the best bread, cheese and wine. The fully equipped kitchen allowed me to indulge at any hour of the day or night.
After a long day sightseeing or just wandering thru Paris having this place to come back to and relax was a true pleasure |
