| Thank you for a wonderful and peaceful weekend in your beautiful home. It felt like we were staying in someone's lovingly cared for home, not just a guest house. We enjoyed sleeping with the windows and feeling the fresh ocean breeze, relaxing on the front porch and visiting the aviary, and meditating in the morning down by the waterfall. Even your dog was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely try to come for another visit. |

We have been looking forward for a long time to coming here, and we were not dissapointed. We enjoyed our time here and are taking home some good memories. Our kids enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels and feeding the horses. We haven't been to this part of the Oregon coast so we enjoyed playing on the beaches.
We wanted to try out the mail boats and Stoute grove like you recommened, but unfortunatly our youngest was sick for a few days and we had to change those plans. The others had so much fun playing on the ranch that our vacation was still a great success.
Thanks so much for your gracious hospitality. We hope we can make it back here and do some more exploring.

My daughter & I came for some nice downtime. We definitly got what we bargained for. This place is so quiet compared to our fast city life. Our stay was wonderful and we definitly felt right at home.
I wish we could stay a few more weeks. Unfortunatly reality is having to go back to work. Enjoyed the bird aviary & horses. We will definitly keep this place in mind for our next quiet time.

Your information about the history of the ranch and the area was most helpful and interesting. As we explore the area for possable relocation later.

We've just returned from our second stay at the Rainbow Rock Ranch. In our initial stay we noted that the guest house is beautifully maintained, spacious and well equipped, and has a nice homey feel to it. We hosted a barbeque with relatives in the area on both trips, and the large front porch and grounds make for a terrific place to entertain. Plus, the expansive view of the mountains and ocean can't be beat!
Our daughters were enchanted by the aviary, loved collecting real peacock feathers and exploring the creek. The owners now have two horses on the ranch, River and Lady, and we were all excited to pet and help feed them. Then there was the thrill of picking wild blackberries, riding the currents in the Smith and Chetco Rivers, playing seaweed baseball on the beach, and enjoying local shops and restaurants. My husband thoroughly enjoyed golfing at Salmon River Run, and there's a Curves nearby for members with a travel pass! Go check out Fern Canyon too, it's a magical place where parts of Jurassic Park were filmed!
The Minniers are terrific owners, and we highly recommend a stay at the Rainbow Rock Ranch! There's lots to do in the area, but if you're looking for some R&R, you'll get plenty of that too in this beautiful setting. (Bring a sweatshirt and long pants in case the fog comes in : )

We love the ranch! Everything there is so beautiful, especially the stream. It is definitely one of the best places we've stayed in. There's a wooden swingset in the back for the kids, and we had fun catching the banana slugs! The aviary is awesome and so is the field where the pond is.
The bedroom view is great, the beds are comfy, and it was nice having two full bathrooms. The walk-in closet is really cool too.
All in all, it was really great and I can't wait to go back to Rainbow Rock Ranch this summer!!!!!!!!!!! |

| This was one of the best places we've ever rented. Our kids loved the peacocks and the ducks in the pond. We loved the spacious accomodations, attached garage for easy unloading. The grounds are very private especially the picnic area by the waterfall. This is NOT your typical vacation rental! It is woodsy yet very close to many state beach parks and brookings. We've already booked our next vacation here. We highly recommend this place! |
