July 19, 2009: “The welcome basket was a great way to start our four day stay. We enjoyed the wine and chocolates right away on the lanai. Our three kids used the boogie boards and beach towels every day. The Haycraft Park beach down the street had a nice clean water shower, but the sand was quite shelly for the kids. Big Beach, south of Wailea, was terrific for boogie boarding, although it does not have clean water showers. The Italian restaurant, Antonio’s, 1215 S. Kihei Rd., was very good with reasonable prices. We really enjoyed the constant breezes and ocean vistas here. We BBQ’d at the gas grills by the pool. The steaks we had picked up at Foodland in Kihei were so very tender. Thanks for the many nice touches. I enjoyed the guitar and taught my daughter to play.” California, USA

June 25, 2009: “Carl and Michele, We don’t want to leave this paradise. Unfortunately, time flies when you’re having fun. We had the time of our lives here! Thank you for making our stay at the Maalaea Kai comfortable and memorable. The view from our balcony is amazing and will forever be imprinted in our memory. Just to let you know, we’ve completed every puzzle on the shelf . . . that inspired us to purchase 2 new puzzles of the Haleakala Volcano (which we watched the Hawaiian sunrise from . . . at 5 in the morning . . . yes, it was worth it!). At this very moment the six of us are watching the surfers outside our window. We dearly want to stay here forever . . . but we must go . . . all good things must come to an end. We hope and pray that all who stay here feel the love, comfort, protection, and blessing that we have felt during our stay. We hope to come back someday! Many Mahalos with Love,”

June 17, 2009: “Carl and Michele, Wow! We have had such a wonderful family holiday and we love your condo. Sitting on the lanai, sipping coffee, watching the surfers . . . it’s the perfect place to think and pray. We loved hiking the Haleakala crater early in the morning and hiking into the 400-foot waterfall at the end of the Road to Hana. We loved the enormous waves at Big Beach and the restaurant next door is superb. Mostly, we loved the slow pace of life here and we loved how quiet it is here at the complex. We enjoyed some of the island’s offerings like: the feast at Lele, aquarium, Sugarbeach, spam musubi, Kotcomo Cop Convention, and fish taco’s . . . oh and the 5 star restaurant next door. March 2009: “Wonderful holiday! Thank you for the use of your well-supplied Condo. There are always the “I wish I had . . .” Used the driving magazine when we did the Hana drive. We missed the Lindbergh’s grave and ended up doing the circle drive! The kids did the Cave trip with “Blue Water Rafting” and just loved it. Said it was a better ride than Disneyland ones. We all did the whale-watching with the same company and found them very knowledgeable and hospitable. They know their customer service. We don’t want to go home!!” Alberta Canada

Feb 24 – March 7, 2009: “ First, thank you! We had a wonderful vacation, in part due to your condo. It fit our family perfectly and we were more than comfortable. We loved the location, we could go to either side of the island quickly. All of the extras you have here were just like icing on the cake. We used the chair, boards, and cooler every day. My parents stayed next to this building and they had no extras, so they brought all the chairs, noodles and towels over to your condo ‘cause they thought you cared enough to care about the people you let stay here. All of the extras are so great. Thank you. My children loved seeing the whales every day. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you again. Mahalo. Alaska

From the Midwest June 2009
Before grandchildren (one on the way), our family decided to have one last get-together. Maui was the choice of the pregnant one. We gathered from California, Missouri, Kansas and Korea. The condo was fab--from the wonderful art on the walls to the extra lawn chairs and surf boards, Everything about the home away from home added to a fun-filled week. Lots of "extras" made us feel welcome and comfortable! We would recommend this as a place for retreat and renewal, fun with family, and R&R for all. Centrally located on the island, distances and travel time were minimal for anything we tackled. Ocean excursions could be taken from the harbor, laying on the beach, eating in nice restaurants, were all within walking distance. Thanks for a great week!

Thanks Carl and Michele for your beautiful condo. We loved the ocean view. Drinking coffee on the Lanai while watching whales was outstanding! Your home is beautiful, comfortable, and we felt the aloha spirit. The central location made it convenient for walking to the Pacific Whale Foundation, shops, restaurants, and the harbor. We enjoyed our walks on the beautiful 3 miles of Sugar Beach. We took advantage of the pool and the amazing lawn right outside the door. We appreciated the supply of boogie boards for playing in the ocean. Your condo is quiet, relaxing, and a perfect place to vacation.

"We loved our visit to the condo. We especially enjoyed the view. We kept
the windows open at night to see the palm trees sway, feel the ocean breeze
and hear the waves. Loved the palm trees, inside and out!
We took our teenage son and he appreciated having his own suite. He also
scarfed up the IPOD port for his exclusive use. All the extras made the
stay very convenient: the beach towels, the cooler, the beach mats,
umbrella--we used it all. What a kitchen - more conveniences than at home
with the expresso maker, the juicer, etc. Loved the decor and artwork! The
bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in.
Having the laundry close by was so nice to wash beach towels.
The location of the condo was great as we saw sights in all directions from
the condo. It is close to our older son in Kihei and also close to head off
to Lahaina.
Thank you for the awesome vacation. Can't wait to return!"
