March 26th-April 4th 2009 I know we will reflect back to great we felt while we were here... completely peaceful every evening after our days exploring. Much of our time was spent out on the deck enjoying the sounds of the birds, surf, wind in the palms, and the frog chorus at night. Enjoyed beginning every morning w/ breakfast on the deck. No matter what the day involved somehow the ended up w/ a snorkel in the ponds too and even after nine days we still saw something new (usually plural) each time. It is a wonderful place you have here. Thank you so much for sharing it! Best of everything, Chris & Ren

Dear David and Nancy, Mahalo for the use of your beautiful home. Everything has gone well and is just great. There are lots of warm touches here and there, and your notebook and letter with directions and suggestions was very helpful and much appreciated. We spent three different days hiking and sightseeing in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and one day in Hilo. We looked forward every day to having this home to come back to. again, mahalo and aloha Ron & Deejah Seattle, WA

Dec. 25, 2008 Thank you David and Nancy, My son and I found just the place we needed to renew our spirits... And we made good use of the flippers in the tide pools & your first aid kit for scrapes from the rocks. Your vacation home is so welcoming-- you have thought of all the things that we might need. also- thanks for being so understanding and helpful when we locked ourselves out late at night! Loved listening to the waves mixed with the frogs & birds. Aloha Edith & Gabriel

This party stayed Oct. 11-15 and left no comment in the guest book. This omission is the only one experienced so far, and interpretation of their reason for not writing is entirely speculative. I'm hoping that in the rush to go on to the next island, they just forgot to write.

July 20-28 David& Nancy Lovely house, had a great time on the island. Island living is like nothing elsewhere. Thanks. Sy Olsen this is a lovely house among the trees. The breezes are wonderful. We've been entranced with all the plantings in the yard and the band of orioles in their territories...and the coqui frogs. Thanks, too, for the basket with snorkeling supplies. We've enjoyed exploring the reefs, pools, and tidepools on the island. Think we've been givinng island opportunities a good shot. I have certainly been on the move all week. Definitely is so much more to explore! Thanks again for providing such a lovely refuge. Kate Olsen What a great place especially for volcano visitors...the run was fun & given the closeness, may be worth mentioning your house to the organizers. So much to see on the island and it seems we have a lot we didn't get to.. All the Best, Annette Brenner

| I can't say thank you enough to David and Nancy for letting us stay at the house. The house was beautifully decorated with tropical theme. We loved the fresh Hawaiian flowers/plants in every room. The kitchen was equiped with everything, just need to buy food. Safeway and Walmart are just about 30 minutes away in the town of Hilo. We also enjoyed the farmer markets in bothe Hilo and Pahoa (10 minutes away). The wrap around Lanai with an outdoor shower was also very nice. We really enjoyed the evening sitting and feeling the ocean breeze. We would definitely like to come back. |
