Jon, After two years of securing a weekend at your hideaway we finally made it. Thank goodness we didn't miss on our second year. The weather was rough but that only added to the beauty and we look to return in the fall or winter to further enjoy your beautiful work or may I say labor of love. Thank you for the opportunity to spend a couple of evenings here and we hope to see you and your family again.

The Krutar cabin is perfect! Our group fished on the property as well as several surrounding rivers, creeks and lakes. It's a perfect home base for fishing in this beautiful part of Montana. The owner of the cabin, Jon Krutar, was a pleasure to spend time with. Whether it was tips on fishing or history of the area, Jon is fantastic. He made us feel like we were part of the family. We are already working on booking our trip for 2010. The Krutar cabin is a tue hidden gem.

Wow! an undiscovered gem only 1 1/2 hours from Helena, MT. Our family had such a wonderful time this past weekend. The cabin is spectacular, well kept and modern with mountain views, clear spring creek fishing and the North Fork of the Blackfoot River. If quiet and relaxing is what is needed this is the place. Fishing and just being in the outdoors? This is it. Visit this place for a real Montana experience.

The Krutar Homestead was magnificent primarily b/c of the wonderful amenities, picturesque location which is unmatched for that area, and the wildlife available to experience and see. The hospitality afforded to us by the Krutars was splendid and the local friendliness was very quaint. We hope to come back again soon. It was an excellent choice for a honeymoon and a great location as we traveled throughout Montana.

I knew the minute I walked in the door that I was home. Two weeks in this paradise was not enough. Even if you don't fly fish you will love this part of MT and it's people. Run down the road to Trixi's Saloon and hob nob with the locals, practice your casts in the beautiful fish hatchery ponds out back or explore any dirt road and you'll find history and beauty enough to make your camera smile. Best of all, sit on the porch with your morning coffee and enjoy to view. If you are lucky, "Buddy" the ranch dog will join you. There is not enough good things to say about this place.

The Krutar homestead cabin and its environs are absolutely wonderful and offer a true Montana experience. My wife and I have stayed there several times over the past few years. The cabin itself is charming, spacious and very attractive and the views are spectacular. For fisherman there is excellent fly-fishing nearby, both in the spring creeks that run through the property and on the Blackfoot River and its tributaries. In addition, there are marvelous places nearby to hike, including a waterfowl refuge area about a mile from the cabin. The hospitality and warmth of the owners is unmatched. We will keep going back so long as they'll have us.

Fantastic experience here at the Homestead House! Scenery is picturesque, wildlife is visible at every turn.Flyfishing for rainbow trout steps away and plentiful on the 2 streams that meander across the Krutar property(not to mention the crystal clear pond steps away from the cabin) . The cabin is spectacular, offering mountainous views with the touch of yesteryear while providing the amenities of this new millenium !This is the perfect MONTANA Experience... |
