We just got back from Vieques after spending a great Christmas week at Villa Nyita Linda. For those who are wondering if the photos accurately show the property, the answer is “no”. The property and the views are much better in person. The views from the patios are amazingly beautiful. The property is much more extensively landscaped than shown. And the two housing units are functional and attractively set-up. The location of the property is about as good as it gets on the island. It is right down the road from the two gas stations and the best grocery store on the island. It is also situated close to the town of Isabella and the road to the southern portion of the island and the beautiful beaches there. The only recommendation that I would make would be to have some cooking spices and condiments and to have guests resupply the items that they use. Overall, the place is great! John, Reading, Pa.

| Our stay at the Villa Nyita Linda was absolutely amazing. We had plenty of room for our party of ten. Even the "technology absorbed" teenagers in our group enjoyed themselves. The property is more beautiful than shown on the web page; obviously some extensive landscaping has been done. The neighbors were friendly, even giving the kids horseback rides on the beach. The sounds of the roosters and coqui frogs mixed with the sound of the ocean waves just made the trip more unique. The advice and information provided by the owner and house manager as well as the complimentary pickup at the airport was a great help. |

| This Villa is very nice. Everything as advertised and more. The view is great, but beware of other Villas claiming a short walk to the beach. The beaches on the island are worth the trip. Grilling fish and lobster from the pier was fun. Enjoy |

| We loved our stay at Nyita Linda. I have a family of 6 and we took three of my sons girlfriends. The house was perfect for the 9 of us. The beach in front of the house was very private. We were the only ones on it except for 1 day. We had excellent weather everyday. The snorkeling was fun even though it was a little windy. The charm of the island with the bright colored houses is unique. The wild horses just added to it. We had no problems with the roosters. The coqui frog sounds were amazing. We definately will come back. My only advice is skip the ferry and fly in. That was the worse thing of the whole trip. |

| My wife and I and our two small children had a wonderful, relaxing time. The house is perfect, all the ameneties, the pool was great, as is the location on the Atlantic beach, with a 10 minute ride to Esperanza and the Carribean beaches. We loved Media Luna beach the best - great for small children, calm, clear and warm. The kids loved taking walks on the beach at the house to collect sea glass and shells. The bioluminescent bay tour is a must - truly amazing. The only downisde is the roosters, but the fans or A/C generally minimized that issue. We came back refreshed and relaxed, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet recharge! Can't wait to go back - thank you! |

We had a wonderful visit to Nyita Linda and Vieques. Our party included 2 small children under 3 and the house was perfect for them as well as all the adults. The home is very comfortable and guest friendly. The huge veranda balcony is where we ate all of our meals at home and spent lots of time hanging out. The island is gorgeous and the house has AWESOME views as well as a very nice beach to walk on (though too rough for kids to swim when we were there). The pool is also great and there is gate to the second floor of the house that can be closed if you have small kids that might wander to the pool alone. The roosters crowing can be pretty unbelievably loud at 5:30am, but the house provides ear plugs and by the end of your stay you get used to the local "wildlife".
We really liked Green Beach and Blue Beach for the kids to swim, very calm and no one around. There is also a good snorkeling area around the island off the coast of Blue Beach.
Be sure to do the bio-bay tour - it is something you must see to believe. The mosquitos are terrible at the bio-bay (Mosquito Bay), and the tour guides give a lecture about not using bug spray as it may hurt the creatures in the water, so be prepared.
The owner of the home and the managers were extremely helpful as we planned our trip and then while we stayed on the island. We found lots of good restaurants ranging all over the place from upscale right down to the dive called "Chicken King" - great fried chicken for a beach picnic and even better homemade icecream - the kid's favorite meal. The house is close to the big grocery store and to the M Bar which was very good for dinner. We really had a delightful time and strongly recommend both the house and the island. |

| We returned from our vacation at Nyita Linda just 4 days ago, so the fond memories of our week on Vieques are fresh and alive. We had 11 family members all together, and the set-up of the house allowed the "older" and sole single person to relax peacefully upstairs while we woke early and entertained the children in the lower half of the house. The pool was perfect for the kids, and the beach provided great entertainment for their early morning walks. We loved Playa Media Luna, not just because it's perfect for kids to wade in, but the white sugar sand was beautiful. The Bio Bay tour on the electric pontoon boat was excellent, and added a kind of mystique to the island. There is no doubt we'll be back. |

For our family hiatus We came down to Vieques At Villa Nyita Linda for a week A more perfect place, we could not seek
Roaming island beaches Red, Blue and Green And the Fort of course, a must to be seen We ate breakfast pastries galore And fruit salad to die for The tuna was scarce, in fact unobtainable We don't mind too much, will that keep it sustainable? Bio Bays were a treasure to add to our leisure In fact the island of Vieques gave us nothing but pleasure

| Wow! What a great place. We came with several friends and truly enjoyed our week at Nyita Linda. The house is perfectly situated on a hill overlooking the surf. The house is casual, yet comfortable and the large terrace is spectacular. We can't wait to go back! |

Nyita Linda was the perfect match for us. Their were four of us, one couple from Ohio in search of warmth, and friends from Florida needing a vacation. The location is beautiful, the house, roomy, comfortable, and well equipped. Highlights: afternoons by the pool, porch anytime of day, but especially sunsets, fresh lobster cooked "at home", collecting beach glass, friendly animals, including the boxer who lives up the street. Because we arrived on Sunday when the stores were closed we really appreciated the frig being stocked with breakfast things. Also the fact that Nyita Linda is only rented out to one party was a great plus. We really enjoyed our own little world. |

Truly a gem. We had no idea what to expect and were very impressed. From the pickup at the airport to the beautiful view our time there was perfect. They even had food for our breakfast in the fridge. We have traveled extensively and have to say this is now our favorite spot
