Thank you so much for the use of your beach house. We really had a fantastic time! The weather was great and we were able to get to the beach quite a bit. We also made frequent use of the Club House next door. Last night we went to see "The Lost Colony” on Roanoke island and really enjoyed it. All in all it was a great week with loving family and friends.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. We were surrounded by great friends, good food, and a tremendous place to relax and enjoy ourselves. We played tennis every day, went wave riding, putt-putt golf, walked to the shops, and as expected – hit the beach. We can’t wait to return next summer!

We went to the beach a lot, went swimming, went to Kitty Hawk, saw the Wright Brother’s Museum, and went to the dunes. We had a great week. The Black Pelican and the Heron are great restaurants.
Tennis was great, even though it was kinda tough dragging ourselves out of bed that early. Hang gliding was the best thing I’ve done on vacation! Sweet, sweet sunsets.

Thank you so much for giving our family a privilege to stay in your beautiful home. Your house was so roomy even though there were 21 of us. The home is very beautiful and clean and big. My family has been to the Outer Banks four years and this house has got to be the most beautiful. We also loved being right next door to the Rec. center and we loved the sidewalk that leads to the beach. Also we wanted to thank you for the beautiful dishes that we could use. Thank you for the ping pong table and foose ball table. This week was awesome even though there were a lot of us. If I ever bring my family here when I get older I’d love to stay in this house. Also, good luck in the future in people renting your house. I wish my family and I could live here.
PS: I am in the 7th grade and I look forward to this house again.

PS: Don’t know if I’d go to the houses close to the beach – $14 grand per week in the summer a week – expensive. I love the USA.

Hailing from Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, Pennsylvania, andArizona, House on the Moon was the journey’s end,
where we began renewing old acquaintances and making many a friend.
We all pitched in – took turns making the food. Surely, it wasn’t the “spirits” creating the mood.
There was chess and putt-putt, and a friendly game of horseshoes. And yes, even time to catch an occasional snooze.
Tennis and golf were the challenges laid before him,
but Danny could not be threatened; well, except maybe by his brother Tim.
A few runs to the store,
many more to the shore.
Twenty-two of us filled this house with laughter.
Isn’t that, of course, what we came here after?
We boiled crabs we caught at the Corolla docks
– taking the boys away, for the day, from their X-box.
The speedboat ride was thrill quenching;
it was Captain Tom who gave Ronnie quite a chilly drenching.
JT made the drinks flow.
And the girls? Wow! What a show!
The truth they may deny,
but the tape – it never lies.
The one-liners in full flow, the jokes we kept demanding; Michele got on a roll, and truly was the last comic standing.
The kids had a blast,
sadly, it all went so fast.
We have The House on the Moon to thank for a week’s escape from reality
and Ron for the disc, when all this becomes a fond memory.
It was Karen who said “the more you have, the better it is”.
Thank you House on the Moon for the stories, forever to relive.

The Rec. center was very convenient, as well as the shops. We must have went shopping at least once every day. The area was very close to everything, like Wal-Mart, Food Lion, and as I mentioned, the shops. Lastly, we loved the ping-pong table.

Here for New Year, had great weather. Nice, big house. Rode on the beach and saw horses, ate great food, laughed, played, & had a great time. Kids loved the basement. They were up until 4 AM every night.

We had a wonderful time celebrating the holiday together. 19 people for dinner, and plenty of room for all. The weather was great (except for rain one night) and we found that the house was perfect for our needs. The older kids liked having a private space on the first floor, and the adults enjoyed having their own rooms and baths. This was a great place for our reunion.

We went to the beach and saw a couple of dolphins. We picked some seashells. We also went to the 100 year anniversary of flight at Kitty Hawk. We had a fun early Christmas. Rained but I loved going to the indoor swimming pool.

We had a wonderful week [11th year in Duck] and were very glad we had a pool since the heat index was 108 a couple days. We celebrated a 16th wedding anniversary and a 70th birthday. The “Duck Grays” had a wonderful week. The enjoyed all of 4 Seasons facilities and thought that “beach House on the Moon” was superb! Do try the Recreation Center: the water is warm and relaxing. The gym equipment is wonderful and kept us on our training program while away from home. It helped to relieve the guilt from the calories of good eating and cocktail hour (or hours).
The Mechanicsville Duck Grays has played together in Duck for 17 consecutive years. By far this has been the best place yet! We really appreciate all of the thoughtful kitchen equipment and the lovely décor! We’ll be back soon.
