My husband and I just returned from what turned out to be the best vacation either of us had ever experienced. Everything you read in this comments section is absolutely true, the sunsets are spectacular, the strip of dwellings is charming beyond belief, the village itself gives a 1950's feel of peacefulness and sanity. Crabs are there for the taking, fish tempt you by leaping out of the bay before your eyes, and the neighbors were friendly and hospitable. We can't wait to return next year, hopefully for two weeks this time! I would highly recommend this rental.

We stayed at the cottage with our 2 daughters who are 6 and 11. We had such a wonderful time. The area reminded us of times gone by and shore areas that are just hard to find these days. We felt like we were in New England, perhaps even Nantucket, not the Jersey Shore. It was so nice to be at the 'shore' but not be stuck in the craziness that the big towns bring. It was nice to sit, watch the water and spend time with the family. If you enjoy the 'real' beach and boardwalk, it's truly a short drive away. Cape May has so much to offer with fantastic dining and activities. Wildwood offers more kid friendy 'exciting' options with only a short drive as well. We really had a great time fishing and crabbing and walking the beach. The cottage was perfect, and we felt so comfortable and at home. The sunsets are truly spectacular and we tried to be home every night to see them. The kids were originally disappointed that it wasn't a big 'boardwalk' town in the beginning, but by the end of the trip, neither one of them wanted to go home and both asked if they could live at the cottage, so that certainly gives you a sense that this cottage is enjoyed by all. The "locals" were wonderful and extremely helpful....it was a pleasure to share the neighborhood with such genuinely nice people. It was almost like we spent the week in a different world. This visit was truly a unique experience for us, and I think will bring memories our kids will remember far more than our past vacations down the shore. We would certainly spend another week relaxing at Reeds Beach! |

| The week was as pleasant and relaxing and wonderful as I'd hoped. Even the April storms which proved the house to be sound and watertight, and which covered the windows and deck with seaweed, just added to the excitement of being on the water and far, far away from it all. |

| This place has it all: beautiful starry skies; gorgeous sunsets; a well-stocked kitchen; sunroom for reading, eating, and relaxing; that wonderful "beachy" feeling with rattan and wicker throughout; super quiet stay after Labor Day; birds; kayaking; an easy hop over to the southernmost Stone Harbor beach; lots of farm markets nearby; don't miss the Cape May County Zoo - it's free and spectacular fun. A can't lose vacation spot - but only if you dislike crowds and hubbub! |

We found the cottage and its location one that provided us with a host of natural events, from the arrival of the many birds species to the changing lighting throughout the day(not to mention the ubiquitous sunrise and sunsets) to the many moods of the wind and water. Our senses were intermittently calmed and exhilarated by the sights and sounds that supplied esthetic fulfillment.
The cottage space is cozy yet open with all the comforts of home in a fantasy setting. Windows on both stories allow a full view of the bay. It was great sleeping on the second floor with the window partially open, feeling the cool breezes, and hearing the sea ebb and flow as the waves lashed at the deck moorings.
The neighborhood gives a sense of friendly reserve with pleasant smiles and waves from folk who mind their own way. Reeds Beach itself offers many opportunities for hiking and gawking at the wildlife as well as the many disparate styles of bay side architecture. This village is tucked away in its own private niche, yet Cape May, Cape May Court House, and all the towns in between are just a few short miles of very picturesque driving to purchase supplies, enjoy a good dinner, take a birding barge on a salt marsh, or photograph some authentic Victorian gingerbread. |

| The pictures do not do this house justice. Beautiful quiet setting, the friendliest neighbors and the most spectacular wild life show (and sunsets)around. This house has become our home away from home and the owners are wonderful to deal with. See you in June! |

We are just back from two weeks at Reeds Beach and the experience is fresh in my mind. Standing on the deck overlooking the water for the last time before we left for home brought tears to my eyes. I will miss everything here, the walks on the beach, the view from the deck, the sunsets...
The cottage is on a quiet residential strip right on the bay. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised when I first entered the house in the evening just after sunset. With it being a small cottage I was expecting small, close rooms, but that was not the case. The living/dining room area is open and spacious with gleaming hardwood floors and nicely furnished. The upstairs bedroom was also quite large and airy, but be warned of the narrow, steep stairway leading up to it.
I can't say for sure which I enjoyed the most, the huge deck or the sunroom. The sunroom overlooks the water and is the perfect place to relax in the comfy chaise lounge with all the windows open. (The breezes are fabulous). Hey Mike, do you think I could rent the sunroom for the rest of the summer?
The deck is huge and right on the water. At high tide we sat on the edge of the deck when the water was splashing up and we got a very pleasant soaking on a very hot day. The water was about 85-90 degrees) It was like having our own waterpark. Even my 87 yr/old mother enjoy some splashes in her deck chair.
All stores, banks, markets, restaurants, barbers, etc. are a convenience 10 min. drive from the house. The "big" beaches of Wildwood are an easy 20 min. away. (Water temp. 70-75 degrees). And don't forget Cape May (25 min), a beautiful Victorian Town. Don't miss it. You like casinos? Atlantic City 40 mins. away.
This house is all about location, it's got it all; peace, tranquility, relaxation, boardwalks, shopping, casinos, busy beaches, quiet beaches, fishing, kayaking. It's your choice. Can you tell we had a great time. Thanks again Mike. |

| Our expectations were met and surpassed staying at this Cottage by the Sea. Views from the deck or in the house will be hard to forget. Water up to the Deck at High Tide, a beach to walk on at low Tide. Reading, relaxing, walking or Fishing all made more enjoyable by the atmosphere and character of this Cottage. Hats off to the owners who apparently take pride in providing a well cared for Cottage to enjoy while vacationing at Reeds Beach. |

| We had a great vacation here. Everything that you read is exactly what you will find. We did the beach and fireworks in Sea Isle, another day was beach and happy hour in North Wildwood, one late morning was Cape Cape May Point and Lighthouse. Most days we came home in time for sunsets on the deck.Early mornings were for reading on the deck or sun porch and just plain old relaxing. This cottage was very charming and I almost hate to write anything, because when I try to rent next year it will probally be already booked |
