Fantastic quaint cottage in a quite peaceful traditional small town. Good location to explore the Cathar castles and Carcassonne. The cottage was clean, comfortable and in a good location. A wonderful holiday. Enjoyed walking by the Canal du Midi which is moments from the house. Keen to come back and would definately stay in the cottage again.

If you like TV,noisy crowd, many tourists,traffic- do not go there. This small village is hard to find on the map but also is hard to forget. The XIX century cottage is lovely and has everything you need, inclusive "real" french neighbours and sound of the church clock. It is a good place for trips deep into the Cathar Country - this way me and my wife during a week stay could see the last Cathar bastion Montsegur and two of Cathar's castles - Queribus and Peyrepertuse. Between them is a village named Cucugnan, which has shadow on every street even in hotest day (because of particular streets plane)."Riders of the lost mysteries" easy will find Rennes Le Chateau.Canal Du Midi is a few steps away. And Vicky is a person with an open heart. What else? The village is placed in the middle of Corbiere wine region- what do you need more?

Our stay at Aude Cottage was just lovely - although not long enough to explore all the region has to offer. The cottage has everything you'd expect, and the village is very peaceful, with the local town offering everything you'd need. Vicky was extremely helpful pre-booking, and our holiday was exactly the break we needed. Will be returning - but perhaps when it's less hot!

recently just completed our stay. Great little cottage that is an excellent base for exploring the region. However, light sleepers beware (luckily, I am not)! For a tiny village, and quiet street, it is very noisy in the mornings. Also, while it didn't affect our trip, the butcher shop has closed up. The local restaurant, just a few blocks out of the center is excellent. Vickie was extremely helpful and gracious.

Homeowner Response:
Noisy mornings were due to a terrace that was being built on a house in the lane that's now finished, so you can rest peacefully now. Also to replace the butcher shop a van comes to the village every morning from 7.30-11am delivering all local goods. thanks for comments.

We were looking for a spot in the middle of the Languedoc and found it with Aude Cottage. Good value for the price. Perhaps the accouterments were a little sparse, but overall a nice spot.

Homeowner Response:
I asked the guest what they considered a little sparse and have added the cooking utensils that they would've liked. Vicky.

My husband and I were looking for a long-term let in order to house hunt. We also had our dog with us. This cottage was the perfect place, lovely accommodations, all the amenities we needed for a long stay, easy access to shopping, site seeing and also wonderful to walk the dog along the Canal. The landlords were wonderful and very helpful throughout our stay. I would recommend it to anyone as a lovely, comfortable and convenient place to stay.
