| We just returned from staying at "The Lure" for a week, and it was terrific!! On the bay side there are 2 sandy beaches - one that is totally private and on the lake side we were easily able to have campfires on the beach and truly look at the most amazing sunsets and stars! Scott, Martha and their son were the very best hosts, making sure anything we needed was already available in our sweet and very clean cottage. They also were happily available to meet any wish we had - even taking my husband up in Scotts kitfox seaplane! The Lure does have a small deck that overlooks Lake Ontario - where we could have 6 people comfortably, along with the lovely screened in porch on the bay side. We we a bit concerned before we went about getting all our things over to the cottage in a small boat - but there was nothing to worry about - this wonderful family met us our first day with a large pontoon boat and delivered all our items to the cottage, and then also took all our luggage back on the last day. One guest who visited us was unable to get into our small boat (bad knees) and they even ferried him back and forth. We have already booked for next year!! Words cannot express how great this place is. |
