October 9-15, 2009 We really enjoyed our stay at "Wayberry." It's a great vacation rental; it was so quiet, pretty, comfortable, and cozy we didn't want to leave. Especially loved the hot tub and the fireplace. (Didn't get to use the screened porch much because it was so cold, but I'm sure in warmer weather it would make a great place to hang out & read a book. Thanks, Eleanor Ann Arbor, Michigan

The Wayberry is "our place"! Three of my dearest friends and I have been spending a week together, every summer for 9 years, scrapbooking, watching chick flicks, laughing, talking and sharing life. Our last three years have been spent at the Wayberry and we already have it booked for next summer- our 10th year! Matt is fun and helpful and he keeps the place beautiful. WE LOVE IT! |

We really had a great time at the Wayberry. The screened in deck, hot tub and pool table were the highlights. Everyone in the group was amazed at the accommodations. Once again thank you and we look forward to another stay.

Matt and Jennie, Thanks again for the use of the cottage. It all went very, very well. Asking the children about what they liked best in the whole trip, our 4 year old said, "the red house." The children enjoyed the games (inside and out). The horse shoe game and the other one by the fire pit are wondeful ideas. The boys built fires every night. They couldn't believe the freedom they had to roam around and explore. The location is perfect for traveling west or north, not too far from Lake Michigan, or other lakes and parks. We loved our stay. Thank you very much for everything and we do hope we see you some day again, and meet you, Jennie. Johnny and Berry

| What a wonderful time we all had at the Wayberry Cottage for New Years! Thank you so much. This is a beautiful cottage - just as nice as its' description. We loved the pool table and hot tub especially. This was great for a group of couples/friends who wanted to get away for a relaxing vacation. And a great secluded location - yet close to nice towns for a day out. |

| We had a wonderful stay, the family enjoyed the beautiful fall colors in the modern setting of Wayberry Cottage. Hope to return again next year and would recommend it to anyone wishing to get away in the quiet while still being close to wine tours, Lake Michigan and Traverse City. |

We found the Wayberry on the internet looking for a vacation home to rent. I have learned before that you can't always believe everything you see on the internet. I read all of the comments, looked at the pictures and description and emailed the owners. It was exactly as described and could not have been more perfect! It was pristine. Very private, and perfect in every way. We had 2 teenagers and my parents- and the Ladder Ball games grew into big challenges. My mom was out there practicing many mornings so she could beat my 14 year old son. A great time was had by all! The Walker Family |

The best cottage we've stayed in! Clean, well maintained and not far from all our favorite things to to in Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes. The kids had a great time at the beach not far and Matt was always available for questions and help when needed. Quiet and private- very peaceful! We'll be back for sure :O) Ken & Laura |

This comment is long overdue. We, the girls gone wild!, (well, okay as much as possible since we're all moms pushing the big 40) have booked the Wayberry Cottage in October for the past two years for a much needed girl's weekend retreat. We can't say enough positive things about this super cute cottage (er..really a sizeable house that sleeps plenty!)and we've all joked that it's cleaner and much more stylish than our own abodes. Matt and Jennie are the most gracious hosts -- you can tell right away they are very nice people, who take pride in their cottage and who really want everyone that stays here to have the best memories. We're already talking about our next hoorah this coming October. Thanks Matt and Jennie, for creating and sharing such a relaxing and peaceful place. We love it!

10/26-28/07 Wow! What a fantastic birthday surprise! I've always wanted to "get away" yet have a place for my kids & their "others" and some family members too! This was it! We had such awonderful time going for walks, collecting and waxing beautiful leaves-sitting lost in thought, awe and wonder on that fabulous porch swing. Relaxing in that marvelous hot tub, playing games with everyone around the table, playing pool and foosball downstairs, playing horseshoes, going backroading etc. etc. etc. We didn't travel too far from here-we just needed a big rest and some family time and forget the rush of life, back in Grand Rapids. We would love to return, and we hate to leave! Thank you for sharing your life-saving place, and God bless you all!! The Mulder's

We visited the Wayberry on February 15th-18th and had a wonderful time. The home was exactly the way Matt & Jennie have it displayed online. We had 9 people in our party and had so much fun playing in the snow making snowman and sledding. Tons of fun at the cottage; playing pool, fooseball, cards, board games and hanging out in the hot tub. The memories we have built their will be priceless for ourselves and children; the kids didn't want to leave! Thank you Matt & Jennie for offering such a relaxing property to get away from it all and get back to family basics. We hope to be back next year for another fun filled weekend. We had a blast at Wayberry Cottage over New Year's! Matt (the owner) totally hooked us up with all the info we needed about skiing, shopping and even sledding just a little way from the house.
The house was beautiful and spotless. There was MORE than enough room for the ten people in our group to all hang out together when we wanted, but it was also great to have a living room upstairs and another downstairs. One could be the chill room and one could be the rowdy room. The guys even dubbed the downstairs "MAN-TANA" (with pool table, foosball and non-stop Guitar Hero 3 (we brought a play station with us)).
The great thing was that the kitchen is open to the first floor living room so even if it was your turn to cook a meal you were never "stuck in the kitchen" missing out on the fun!
I'd definitely recommend this as a terrific rental in the winter and it's a great deal in the summer too!

July 7-14,2007 "Cherry Festival Week" This is the most beautiful piece of property. We loved the pines, the animals, the solitude and the fact that no one from home could find us! When it's dark it's "dark" and when it's quiet it's really "quiet". Which has made for some of the best sleep we've had in a long time! We don't want to leave this adorable house. Everything you need to have a relaxing vacation is here. There is fun in every direction- we've gone to Leland, Glen Arbor, TC, Frankfort and Beulah. Have had about every kind of weather this week but it's been great. Can't wait to come back again soon. Thank you Matt & Jennie for a wonderful time!

The Wayberry Cottage is a great vacation spot. The cottage was picture perfect, the setting was wonderful and the beaches were crystal clear! We hit a different beach everyday and each one was better than the last. The cottage was extremely clean and very well kept! We enjoyed the hot tub while the kids kept busy shooting pool and playing hillbilly horseshoes. Roasting marshmallows by the firepit was also a favorite family activity. Thanks for a wonderful spot and we hope to be back next year! |

Matt & Jennie, The Wayberry Cottage is a WONDERFUL place to bring family and friends. What a relaxing vacation. We had so much fun, canoeing on the Platte river, climbing the sand dunes, swimming in Lake Michigan, picnic lunches, visiting the village of Leland and visiting the many winerys in the area. It was always such a treat to come back to the cottage and make a fire to roast marshmallows, shoot a game of pool, get in the hot tub or just relax on the swing on the front porch. We absolutly loved the cottage and everything it has to offer. It has something for everyone no matter their age. Thanks so much for your hospitality. | The Wayberry Cottage was a great place to spend the 4th of July! We traveled from Glendale, WI via the Badger Ferry(amazing and very fun!). My sister and family from Howell, MI joined us for the week. All the cousins enjoyed hiking the sand dunes and tubing on our boat. Long Lake has a couple great islands for picnic lunches. Thanks Matt for the recommendations. We spent a couple days on beautiful Glen Lake boating too. We picnicked at Old Settlers Park. My mom, aunt and a cousin from CA visited us for a day too while on their own vacation. A fantastic time was had by all. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking the sand dunes. The cousins enjoyed playing pool and swinging on the porch. We watched the fireworks in Frankfort. They were beautiful over the lake. We enjoyed the fresh cherrys from the roadside stands and the local cherry wineries. We also enjoyed the Air Show at the Traverse City Cherry Festival. The Wayberry was very roomy even for our large group. I would definitely recommend staying at the Wayberry to my friends and family. Thanks and you are sure to see us again - the kids all want to come back! |

Matt & Jennie~ Your cottage was wonderful! Your hospitality was evident throughout our stay. We cousins grew up together and now our children are getting to experience the same. They had so much fun playing here, inside & out and playing at the beach -- Esch was our favorite! Glen Lake is gorgeous and the kids were impressed with the dune climbs. The best part was the break from our schedules, sleeping in, eating & laughing. We would love to come back!

We had a terrific long winter weekend at the Wayberry. Eight of us were ultra-comfortable with all the beds and space available. The boys loved the pool and foosball tables, as well as their own TV to use in the lower level. They also loved Crystal Mountain being so close; they spent all of one day snowboarding and had a blast. We're already talking about coming back to enjoy what summer has to offer at the Wayberry --- just have to enjoy that screened porch when things warm up! | We couldn't have been more pleased staying at the Wayberry Cottage. Matt was very helpful in explaining how things work. The 4 bedrooms were all very roomy. My siblings from across the country and mother stayed for 3 nights. The cottage is comfortable and I see us putting the Wayberry Cottage on our rotation of places to visit for our annual get together. The beds and linens felt luxurious. You can stay someplace else for a lot more money and not get nearly the value the Wayberry has to offer. Thank you!!! |

February 1-4, 2007 Snow! Cold! Fun! We cme for a weekend of snowmobiling and it never stopped snowing! Temps were about 12 degrees, but we rode hard then hot tubbed and played games. When not on the snow trails we ate and played pool (the teenagers loved the pool table) and pictionary. The cottage was beautiful and was plenty of room for our two families. We have loved being here this week! We went to lots of fun places including Otter Creek, Gwen Frostic's, the Frankfort Art Fair, Glen Arbor, and the sunsets at Empire on Lake Michigan. But probably our best memories wil be the giggles around the fooseball table with the grandkids. We had lots of family visit us and the Wayberry held 12 people just fine. (We're trying to spread the word for Matt & Jennie) We moved to Colorado from Troy, MI for a less hectic lifestyle, beautiful weather and the mountains.
