This villa is absolutely a must, should you decide to rent in Bologna. It is true that the center is kind of far, but it took us - a Belgian family of 5 - just 8 minutes to reach it by the suburban train stopping only a few hundred meters from there. That was our second time in Bologna and we finally decided not to rent in the center anymore - too much traffic, too noisy, no room for the kids to play, etc.. This rental was the opposite: plenty of room both inside and outside (the pictures don't do it justice!), totally safe, deep-in-the-green (you can ask for fresh organic produce and wine - don't be shy, talk to Alberto, the owner), very, very clean and comfortable, with excellent furniture and furnishing. My wife spent hours cooking and got a kick out of it - the kitchen has all kinds of tools and knick-knacks one needs, even more, and there is barbecue in the yard, too!
Alberto and his son, Alessandro, were great hosts. We got complimentary bottles of self-produced wine and plenty of organically-grown fruit, they treated us like family and also had us over for dinner one night. Do not be afraid to rent in the countryside - after all this villa is just in the outskirts - it is so much better than the center, even if you drive - the main highway exit is just 1 km.. This is a not-to-be-missed rental. We recommend it highly.

| We had a great stay at this villa. It is extra clean, newly refurbished and perfectly stocked, with a huge yard and parking space. The kitchen has all you need to cook, even elaborate dishes. The city center is not that close, yet transportation is convenient and takes you everywhere for almost nothing -- the train station is only 10 minutes walk and so is the bus stop (bus ticket: 1 euro for 1 hour ride). Thank you very much for sharing your beautiful home with us. We enjoyed our stay in Bologna very much and was most comfortable in your villa. It featured everything that we wanted, and we appreciated the lovely furniture and extensive range of crockery. But most of all, we must thank you both and your family for the warmth and hospility extended. It was the most pleasant ending to our vacation in Italy. We would defintely make Villa Genziana our base should we make another trip to Italy, and would recommend it highly to all our friends. |

Alberto's villa is the perfect accommodation. It is roomy, clean, excellently furnished and its location makes it perfect for day trips in the area, especially if you have a car. We spent 2 beautiful weeks there easily traveling to Florence, Venice, Ferrara, Modena and Mantua. The immediate surroundings (hills - great food & wine!) are also great, don't miss them!

I totally vouch for this property. It is clean, well set and excellently furnished, conveniently positioned and with great hosts. Also, we saved a lot of money out of the average hotel costs with this. Don't get fooled by in-town, central accommodations. By staying here we got quiet and never got stuck in traffic.

This villa is a great place to stay. It is very convenient to Bologna and you can easily drive to all spots in and around town without getting trapped in traffic. Nice countryside/outskirts environment dotted with some big storage buldings here and there but also fruit trees and vineyards. The airport is near but does not bother much. Great hosts, very nice and helpful. The house is wonderfully equipped with ALL you need. Very clean and comfortable. I recommend it to all.

Les photos de l'appartement sont en dessous de la réalité - il est beaucoup plus beau que la description qui en est donnée ... entièrement vouté, peintures aux couleurs chaleureuses, un véritable bonheur. Une décoration soignée et une propreté sans équivalent. Parfaitement bien équipé, celà va du linge de maison neuf en passant par tout l'électro-ménager. Très bien situé, dans un village mignon et tout est à portée ... Propriétaire avenant et serviable, tout est réuni pour passer un merveilleux séjour.

I spent a week at Villa Genziana while on a business trip and I should say that it was the best of my stays ever. The house is extra-clean, tidy, provided with everything one needs, furnished with taste and zest, efficiently equipped, roomy and bright, so one feels even better than at home. Regardless of the vicinity of the city (that is in many ways convenient) the location is quiet, comfortable and peaceful as typical of the countryside. Moreover the kindness and eagerness to help of the owners is peerless. Thanks Anna and Alberto, I will definitely come back.

We spent excellent time at Anna and Alberto’s. Their property is in the immediate outskirts of Bologna, which makes the center easy to reach (great parking lots, free with bus fare) as well as the fairground, the airport and the highway. As stated in the ad we found large spaces both inside and outside. Everything was very clean, well kept, efficient and furnished with taste, definitely better than what we thought from the photos. The rate was excellent too – about one third of the average hotel room in the area! Moreover, Alberto and Anna were very helpful, very hospitable and nice. We will definitely come back!
