We just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful stay at your house. It is in a great relaxing location and we really enjoyed our stay. If we come back to the Big Island we will definitely look you up first for the rental again if it is available. I have a few co-workers who are planning on going to Hawaii in the next year and I will definitely recommend your place. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Hi Lisa,
I just wanted to thank you for the use of your house, we really liked it! Five minutes after arriving my boys and I saw a few whales. It was super cool. Everything in the home was great. Thanks again for everything. Sincerely David |

Happy New Year to you Lisa!
The house was WONDERFUL. It truly felt like coming home each day. I want to know the brand of mattress -- I slept better than at home. Your furnishings are perfect. They fit so well with the mood and the location. The kitchen was quite nice and we found everything we needed. Having a cooler available was really convenient. We had a marvelous vacation and even my husband relaxed and did not call his work. Our ambition was greater than reality and we bought charcoal and lighter fluid that never got used.
Thanks for everything. We don't get to Hawaii very often but if your house is still available next time we're able to come you'll hear from me!
Sincerely, Tanya Smart

| Spent 2 weeks at the property in January 2006. It's a beautiful ocean front location, 20 minutes to Volcano area. We had some great hiking in The Waipio Valley and the waterfalls were mesmerizing! The location of the property and it's being up in the air makes you feel like you are on a cruise ship (without all the passengers). We saw whales pass in front of the home, gorgeous sunrises and romantic sunsets! The home was secluded enough to be private and yet when we went for walks we met some of the locals. We would stay again. Mahalo! |

Just some personal info about property. The house was renovated in Oct. This included 600 sq feet of 16" ceramic tile in main living area, new carpet in bedrooms and new paint. It took me and a helper 3 weeks to complete the work. What a transition. I will be going back soon to really enjoy the home. The house has indirect ceiling fans that I have never seen before. Definitely not Home Depot models. They are beautiful at night reflecting off the vaulted ceilings. The ceilings are 4x beams with 2x6 cedar ceilings. Very well built. Bathrooms are ceramic tile floors. Bathroom by front door has bear clawed bathtub with high quality faucets and european type toilets. Kitchen has granite counter tops with crane sink and faucet. The evenings were one my favorite times. It is very nice to sit on the back deck looking out onto the ocean. Three times a week cruise liners pass by which is a sight to see. And it also seemed about 3am every night the house would move very slightly by the waves. Not always ,only when some big breakers hit the volcanic rock. According to a local, there is a lava tube that runs under the house and that is what creates the movement. It is amazing how powerful the ocean is. So if you want tranquilty and peace of mind where you can kick back and watch the ocean you will be very satisfied. Enjoy Sincerely, Kirk

My husband & I live on the West side of the island and are currently building a home. We had a short visit when we came over to purchase some landscaping plants on the East side and decided to spend the night. The views are awesome here! The floorplan and architectural design of the home are complimented by the decor. The home is in excellent shape, the carpet is new and most everything is tiled. The home is very clean, the current owners used it as a second residence. Great neighbors, very helpful. Close drive to Hilo...the funky town of Pahoa and the fresh open market on weekends! We would definitely go back (and plan to). Wanda & Tom
