Thank you very much for everything. The house was fantastic, everything about it was great. We had a wonderful time “tubing” at Elkhart Lake and at the Maritime Museum in Manitowoc. The food there was great; Maretti’s Deli for lunch and Beerntsen’s for ice cream.

Thanks for everything! The home is lovely. We enjoyed the fire pit, the beach and the large play space between the kitchen and the living room. Thanks also for the wonderful dairy farm tour. Karl was so informative. Other things we enjoyed were Whispering Orchards for their great breakfasts and great animals; Whistling Straits Golf Course for their good lunches and beautiful views; Manitowoc Zoo, Henry Schutte Park in Manitowoc, The Immigrant Room at The American Club in Kohler, The Horse and Plow – best fried cheese curds ever; Il Ritrovo in Sheboygan – great wood-fired pizza. Thanks for all the memories. This was our first family vacation with our little boy and we will always remember it.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is great, nice warm comforters and beds. The tour of the farm was very interesting. Your cheese is fantastic! We wish you the best with the cheese business and hope to say- yeah we know them when they were just getting started! We celebrated an early Thanksgiving here by candle light and the view- nothing like it- it was fabulous! Our kids enjoyed the games and the house. What a great vacation! This place is truly a piece of heaven! Our family had such a great time here. The grounds are perfect for kids to run and an ideal setting for a family reunion. We enjoyed the fire pit several nights with our s’mores and hot coffee and a brat on a Sheboygan hard roll. Can’t be beat with a view like this. The farm tour is a must! What a wonderful time. My name is Robert Nimmer and I was born and raised in Sheboygan. I currently live in Fountain Valley, California and I’m visiting this wonderful cottage so that I can attend my 50th high school reunion, rah rah Central High, Class of ’58. I am here with my beautiful wife, Sally, and my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, being able to show them where I grew up. The farm tour was wonderful because if brings back fond memories of my childhood. The lake is great, it’s one of my most treasured memories of the area and I wish I had taken the time to enjoy the beauty of the lake when I was growing up. My thanks to the Saxon Homestead Farm families for giving me another chance to sit back and enjoy the GOOD LIFE.

| What a great way to relax after a long block of exams. The view from the backyard was stunning, and the weather was absolutely perfect for our getaway weekend. The Saxon Sunrise had enough space to comfortably sleep our large group (11) and provided all of the amenities. Great times were had by all and we hope to be back soon. Med Students 2010 |

“April snowstorm ‘Felicity’ hits area with 6-12 inches!” Saxon Sunrise saved me from driving three hours in this April snowstorm. I pulled into the driveway and noticed the 40mph winds were making Lake Michigan brown with 6-8 foot waves. Luckily, the climate inside was much more inviting. Thanks again! Joel Katte, Wisconsin

From the moment we stepped foot into this beautiful house we knew we were “at home.” The kitchen was so well stocked- we cooked most of our meals this week. The bathroom downstairs was so relaxing + man were the towels wonderful! The bedrooms were magnificent. (Feather pillows, down comforters, and beautiful linens.) The outdoors was awesome with plenty of room to roam + explore. We loved the bonfire + roasting marshmallows for our yummy s’mores. The beach was terrific. Terry even had a fire down there as he read one day. Of course, our vacation would not have been complete without our tour of the Saxon Farm! Adam loved his special ride. It was a very enlightening tour. Thanks for all your hospitality.

Absolutely fantastic-our best vacation ever. The boys were down at the beach every day digging away. We enjoyed long walks on country roads- everything was perfect. The entire property is outstanding. We live in Japan and so we rented the Saxon sight unseen and it exceeded our expectation in every way. The house, the yard, the view, and the local area all exceeded expectations. The farm tour is well worth it- we sure did learn a lot about dairy production + the boys loved seeing all the farm animals. IT has been an excellent experience for all!

Where to begin to thank you for our wonderful week. From our first introduction to the Klessigs and t Heimerls. We walked into a bit of heaven. The reception was great and our first look at the house surpassed all of our expectations. Many days and nights were spent enjoying the view and playing on the beach and in the lake. The abundance of brochures made the challenge of finding excursions away from the house exciting. The highlight for the kids (and 2 city boy duds) was our trip to the Hidden Springs Trout Farm. Gary was great and we highly recommend. Karl’s tour of the farm was a treat and we can’t wait to sample some of the cheese soon. Thank you again. We had a wonderful week.

We had a wonderful time staying here at this small piece of heaven. The sound of the water crashing on the beach was simply majestic while taking in the sunset. We had a very relaxing time except for playing Whistling Straits!!! What a tough course. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Everything about this place was great, especially the beer battered cheese curd at the American Club’s Horse and Plow Tavern.
