I took my first child-free vacation after raising my 4. I stayed at Cynthia's Peak and had the most delightful and healing experience. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars and sipping champagne was nothing short of "aahhhhh..."! I loved the challenge of walking the many trails. It was hard at first, but I got stronger daily. The waterfall is very beautiful, the air was cool, and the sun was warm. The cabin is roomy and comfortable. There are places of interest in every direction from Saluda, including some of the best 'twisties' for motorcycle riding, and some of the finest views in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I cannot wait to go back!

How can a place so convenient to reach be so private, quiet, and peaceful? I'm already looking forward to next year.

We have stayed at Cynthia's Peak a few times. During the summer there is no other civilization visible. The view looks south, so at night during our visit the constellation Scorpio was framed by the trees. During the day our children (10 and 12) had plenty of room to explore nature. We also went tubing down the Green River(nearby). We mostly enjoyed sitting in the shade and enjoying the view.
