We found Island Magic to be one of the best values for all the amenities that we've seen in our 10 years of annual family vacations.

We had a great time in your Island Magic home, and so appreciate the ability to "use whatever is there." That came in handy! Your home was perfect for our scrapbooking event, easily accommodating six ladies. The towels are luxurious and the beds divine! I will recommend Island Magic highly!!

Living in a forest with deer, racoons, and other wildlife is truly special. The solitude and peacefulness of Hartstene Pointe was refreshing after busy days. The spectacular views of water and mountains are why people love Washington. Sunshine abounded every day. You delivered on that promise, Skip. Your Island Magic is magical in its verdant setting. We are thankful we had this time.

We had a wonderful week in your beautiful home. Highlights include a campfire down at the "Spit" watching a magnificent sunset, walk to Indian Cove to see the amazing spitting clams, and hours of fun for the children playing tennis, ping pong and swimming at the lovely club house. This has been a very special time for the Clinch family to relax and enjoy each other's company away from the "busyness" of everyday life. Thank you.

Your Island Magic is truly magic and closer to God! What a peaceful, restful stay we had--joined by our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson for two dinners. We enjoyed your personal touches in this much loved space. Hope to visit again.

It was perfect, just what we needed! Thanks for letting us enjoy "Island Magic" for the Christmas holiday. We had snow, sunshine, and a full moon that was awesome down at the marina. I brought sunflower seeds to feed the birds, but I think the four racoons enjoyed them more!! It was fun to watch. If all goes well, we may be back next year.

Woods, water, wildlife, and beachcombing--a delightful escape from the intense heat of the Arizona desert. We also enjoyed your personal art gallery, various videos, puzzles from the Clubhouse, a very comfortable bed, and perfect weather. Thanks for the memories!

Thank you for opening your beautiful home to our family and for greeting us personally. We were especially touched by your piano playing and wonderful voice. We so enjoyed our time on this peaceful island. We had a chance to rest, catch up on reading (Karl even read "Island Magic"), walk the beaches, hike the trails, and explore some of the surrounding areas.

April Fools Day 2007 . . . but we weren't fools, we stayed here at Island Magic! What fun!!! I can only imagine the activity during the summer.
The kids got to see the many deer and the sassy coons. We gave everybody in the family turns being trail blazers. Thank you again for sharing your lovely home.

Thanks, Skip, for helping make our week vacation as relaxing as possible. Your home is great, and we enjoyed ourselves. The deer everywhere were a treat! I also got in a great bike ride amongst the wildlife.
Also, to future guests, we highly recommend the "Java the Hut" Espresso kiosk near the excellent Olympic Bakery (between Highway 3 and Harstine Island). The man who runs it is charming and down to earth. Cheers from three Vancouverites!

Our foursome has greatly enjoyed the hospitality of your Island Magic home. We especially enjoyed the misty forest view across your deck and walking Hartstene Pointe's trails. Last night at sunset we were fortunate enough to encounter two healthy foxes on the west trail near the beach. Thanks again for sharing your thoughtfully appointed, comfortable house.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home in this gorgeous area! We shared our mother's 97th birthday with our family reunion in your loving space. How generous and kind you are to open your lovely home to us. We appreciate you and thank you for making our stay so perfect!
Amy, age 97, (the birthday girl) sang with the St. Olaf College Choir in the early 1930s. European performances included one for the King of Norway. She then served for forty years as a music teacher.
Twelve members of the Slatta family gathered and stayed in 3 houses. Kirk, Jennifer and their children, Summer and Clayton, came from New Mexico. Donald came from Oregon as did Amy, our mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Rich, Jerome, David, and Maxine Atkinson Slatta came from North Carolina. (Jerry and Linda Slatta live in Sumner, Washington, and own their own home at Hartstene Pointe.)

We enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed a week! My parents owned one of the first island houses and my children spent many a blissful week enjoying the pool, trails, and beaches. Now at 31 and 34 years of age, my children (as well as their spouses and grandchild) relived all those special places and activities. Thanks so much!

Thank you very much for opening your wonderful home. We found our time to be relaxing and restful. Jim's parents recently sold their house here after over 30 years. This was such a treat for us to come back here.
We found time to enjoy playing music here. My daughter was so happy you had a piano. Jim brought his gruitar, Donovan his violin, and Christine her flute. It was a wonderful week complete with lovely sunset watching from the spit.
