| We stayed here Aug. 19-26, 2006 and it was WONDERFUL! I almost hate to say how nice, because I am afraid there would be no future openings for us again, but I can't fib. The house is beautiful, extremely comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Many thoughtful extras are provided. The area is quiet and the river outside your back door makes you feel so serene. We slept in, breakfasted on the beautiful screened porch, watched game shows on satellite TV, put together a puzzle, played games and spent restful time together. When we got to feeling adventurous we made the 35 minute drive to Traverse City and shopped or went to wineries. On our first Saturday evening we went to Merritt Speedway (a 30 minute drive) and had a great deal of fun watching the races. I'm a history enthusiast, so we decided to check out the Fife Lake Historical Museum (open Fri, Sat & Sun) and it turned out to be a very cool place where we spent a lot more time than we had thought possible. It was just a great trip and both the booking agent and the owner were wonderful to deal with. A++! |
