This house is pure magic! It was everything and more than we expected. We loved the decor and it really started the week off well the moment we arrived. We have had a wonderful family holiday here. The boys just wanted to explore the backyard and relax in the spa. Our stay was not long enough (6 nights) to capture the beauty of the whole area, but what we saw we loved. We enjoyed the Verde Canyon Railroad and rode in the caboose, which was really special for our family. While we watched the gorgeous scenery, our baby slept on the floor of the caboose cradled between two beautifully handcrafted leather chairs. We cannot speak highly enough of the locals in the Verde Valley. They were so helpful and friendly and it made us feel at home. So thank you so much. We have enjoyed our stay in your lovely house.

This home was just perfect for us! It was so comfortable, and centrally located to all the activities we had planned. The decor was charming with each room having its own flair. The hot tub was a great asset after a busy day exploring the Verde Valley area and the Grand Canyon. We took the Verde Canyon Railroad for a great relaxing view of the area’s canyons and flora. The sheet you supplied on the restaurants had great tips and we tried many. Loved Murphy’s Grill and ate twice at the Mexican restaurant. We visited several of the Indian ruins in the area and found them fascinating. Shopped and found clothes we do not have in Oregon. Views of the Red Rocks were wonderful to see on the Red Rock Loop Drive. The Chapel of the Holy Cross was very inspiring. All of our experiences were enhanced by the great home we had to come back to after a full day of exploring. Thank you for sharing such a great place with us!

We had a very enjoyable time at your beautiful home. It made our visit to Sedona much more wonderful. We liked the floor plan because of the children. They all stayed on one side of the house, in the third bedroom and Family Room, and they shared a bathroom. My husband and I and the other couple traveling with us stayed in the bedrooms on the other side. The wildlife about the grounds was interesting. We visited almost every site in the area. The children had a great time and they learned quite a bit of native culture at the Museum of Northern Arizona. The geology, geography, and Indian sites in this area are amazing. We had a great week. As with anyone, the main objectives on a vacation are to find a place to relaaax and enjoy all the special moments. We not only managed to do this, but we did so at such a high level. All the activities and attractions around Sedona were very enjoyable. In addition was the fact that we were able to have our own privacy and relax in the hot tub, playing horse shoes, grilling, and the walks around the neighborhood. The House of the Dancing Sun is very tasteful, and draws its energy around you to relax you at every moment. We will love to return in the future. Your house must be a feminine vortex because we felt relaxed and stress-free the minute we arrived. Everything was perfect! I just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay in
your beautiful home. We were very impressed with the goodie basket, the
park entrance passes, and the overall cleanliness and decor of your home.
We also appreciated your list of nearby restaurant recommendations. We ate
at Javelina Cantina, The Hideaway, and a local pizza place and found all to
be very good. We played a game every single night; thanks for keeping a
good supply of family games in the home.
Probably our favorite thing to do in the Sedona area was the Broken Arrow
Pink Jeep tour. What an adventure! We also enjoyed a hike in Boyton
Canyon, the Verde Canyon railway excursion, Tlaquepaque, and visiting some
nearby ruins.
It was a very memorable vacation. Thank you again. |

It was very nice meeting you in person. We had a wonderful time in your part of the country, quite different from here in Florida and Rhode Island where we come from. The house was really more than we expected, it was very clean and tastefully appointed with plenty of extra linens and towels, even special towels for the spa. We were surprised that you were so centrally located to Sedona, Cottonwood, and Jerome. The spa deck was a great way to relax after a tiring day of touring. The coffee pot was a minor annoyance, but you took care of it. Other than that, we would highly recommend the House of the Dancing Sun to anyone who asks.

| We tremendously enjoyed our stay at the House of the Dancing Sun, your beautiful vacation rental, as well as our visit to the Sedona area. The genuine Southwestern decor was charming. The setting was just the kind we like – a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, rimmed with gorgeous mountain scenery, and not too far from Sedona. As avid birdwatchers, we enjoyed seeing a variety of birds in the neighborhood. However, we’re sorry to have missed the roadrunner. Thanks for the insider information on great places to eat and sites to visit that suited our interests. We would have missed some of the things we enjoyed the most without your personalized suggestions. The high speed Internet connection came in handy for flight planning for our private plane. With my bad back, I need a comfortable bed, so I was pleased that the bed in the master bedroom was just right. For the quality of the amenities, we thought your rates were very reasonable, even for one couple. Shared by two or more couples, it would be a real bargain. We would consider traveling with other couples in the future because the unusual floorplan would allow guests to enjoy different activities at once without intruding on each other. We recommend the House of the Dancing Sun enthusiastically. |

My women friends and I rented this house to celebrate our 50th and 60th birthdays, and we were delighted to see that the house looked exactly like the photos. We have just returned from a one week stay at "House of the Dancing Sun" and can't stop singing its praises to all our friends and family.
This beautifully-decorated Santa Fe style vacation home, situated among horse properties, is located in a quiet little community approximately 15 minutes from Sedona. The owners, Ben and Laura, are attentive and made an effort to make sure our needs were being met and our stay memorable. However, they were also very mindful of giving us our privacy. The sunsets and stargazing were hard to beat and the patio hammock proved a great place to take a nap!
Being golfers, we were delighted to be within 5 minutes of a nice course called Verde Santa Fe. The staff were very friendly, the course wasn't challenging enough to be frustrating, and they offer a fun "9 and Dine" package (9 holes of golf with dinner, after 3:00 p.m.) for $19.95 each.
Being close enough to shopping and dining in Cottonwood and Sedona, yet far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet are additional reasons that we hope to return again.

It was 10 minutes to the grocery store and 15-20 minutes to downtown Sedona but allowed us peace and quiet away from the tourist traffic. In addition, what attracted us to your home was the authenticity -- we felt like we truly experienced what it would be like to live in the area. Staying in your home was like visiting a friend; it was decorated beautifully and had all of the conveniences of home.
