BRAEHEAD COTTAGE, FALKLAND SCOTLAND was the VERY BEST Holiday Home that we have ever stayed in, and that includes our accomodations in England,Ireland, Wales,France(as well as many states in the USA)and even our own Holiday Home in the Bahamas! The Cottage is so very beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and had EVERYTHING we would need...we literally could have left two of our suitcases at home, packed with things we thought we would need, that were already there waiting for us to use! A washer and dryer was just one of many pleasant suprises that awaited us, including a private patio with many lushious plants,a waterfall fountain, patio table/chairs, sunshine(70's) and view of the hang-gliders off the large hill behind us...we say hill because we live in the Rocky Mountains at 8,000ft! Our host and hostess also left us an assortment of Scotish goodies on the kitchen counter for us to eat and drink! Being less then 20 miles from St.Andrews for golfing was a big plus, but just staying in the beautiful town of Falkland and enjoying the nine hole course there was great! We also enjoyed long walks in the breath-taking country side, the service on Sunday in the 17th Century church(as well as exploring the 16th C Palace)and meeting all the friendly people right there...some in the evenings at the Stag Inn,just around the corner from our Cottage. We are already looking forward to coming again,as we got MUCH MORE then our monies worth, and have already highly recommended Braehead Cottage to all our family and friends. I want to thank you for the lovely cottage you could use in Falkland. I think we have some experience in Scotland, as we stayed there 4 years in a row and each time used three cottages for a week. Your place in Falkland is one of the best we ever had. Falkland is very interesting and full of culture and history. We loved it to have been there. Thanks for the whiskey taste, I loved the Glenrothes and brought some bottles to the Netherlands, bought in that very well sorted shop in Cupar, Luvian's.
