I don't know where to start. We six friends met up in Costa Rica for the winter holiday and made our way down to Villa Baha. Our time at Villa Baha was without a doubt our favorite part of the trip. The photos online only give a small snapshot of the beauty and thought that went into the evolution of this property. We rent houses from VRBO every year, and this is by far our favorite. It is gorgeously decorated, beautifully landscaped, and just remote enough to feel "away from it all." From the moment you approach the property, you can feel the time and emotion that went into making this such a special place. The owner Amy went out of her way to help navigate our anticipation leading up to our stay. We thank you for your help and information. The property manager Cynthia is quite simply a lovely person. She was helpful, thoughtful, knowledgeable and truly interesting. We had THREE flat tires on our trip and she went out of her way to help us time and time again. Thank you Cynthia. We'll never forget you! Dinners cooked with fresh herbs and fruits from the garden, watching the sun set over the Pacific from the pool or hammock, combing nearby beaches, hiking to waterfalls, deep sea fishing, snorkeling…just some of the many things we enjoyed during our stay. If you are even considering Villa Baha for your vacation, look no further. Pura Vida! -Jason, Lori, Jen, Tad, Heather and Jen

We LOVE Villa Baha! You never know what to expect when booking lodging online - and although we had a good idea that it would be LOVELY - any expectations that we could have had were surpassed. It is BEAUTIFUL, clean, well-appointed, festive! and has everything you could possibly need or even think to have. We were traveling with our 4 month old baby and another couple and their 3 month old baby and the layout was perfect for our "particular" situation. We had our zone downstairs and they had theirs upstairs- and so the babies slept quietly in our rooms which are in the same house, but it feels like you are separate - in a GOOD way. Even the outdoor areas can be communal or separate. We were really impressed with the detail and thought that they have put into the Villa. Amy was HUGELY helpful and very attentive... Cynthia and the staff were great. It felt like we were alone, but we knew there was a support circuit behind the scenes... just GREAT! Highly recommended. Thanks again Amy! |

Our family gives Villa Baha 4 THUMBS UP!!!! I felt like I was living in three places at once: in the jungle, at the ocean, and on top of the world from the constant of an elegant home base. Hard to choose "best parts" but I'd choose: 1. Floating in the swimming pool and gazing past the forested mountains to the ocean's shoreline in the distance. 2. Falling asleep listening to the sounds of nature...esp. the rain, cicadas, and frogs 3. Waking up to the fresh morning air, sounds of the birds and the sheer magic of being able to do it all again. If it seems too good to be true, I know. It "seemed" that way even while we were there. Our memories have the quality of dreams. Thanks Amy, Cynthia, the housekeeper, and to the gardener, too, who keeps the grounds immaculate!

3/15/08 Our family had an absolutely wonderful time for our week at Villa Baha. We have rented homes throughout the Caribbean and Hawaii and this is by far the nicest and best equiped home we have ever rented. The photos on the web site are great and when you get to the house you will be even more impressed! It's a spectactular place and Dominical is a charming and delightful town. You cannot go wrong with this rental and if you want a "dream" Costa Rican trip go to Villa Baha! The Nanfelt's- Scott, Grit Kai & Svenja |

| We had an amazing 2 week stay at Villa Baha. The wildlife was so diverse, and the weather was great too! (Expect showers almost every afternoon). Some of the activities we enjoyed most were: playing at the Playa Belina, Horseback riding to Nuayaca Falls, Zip Line Adventure at Hacienda Baru, and eating GREAT FOOD at the resurants in Dominical. If you're looking for an authentic Costa Rican trip to remember, stay at Villa Baha!! |

| My wife and I spent a spectacular week at Villa Baha. Villa Baha is a gorgeous house with beautiful grounds and views. We like a mix of adventure, activity and relaxation in our vacations and the Dominical area was an ideal location. We started everyday the same way. We’d spend an hour or so lounging on the patio eating breakfast and drinking coffee, watching the birds and other wildlife. Then, we’d either head out for our adventure or just spend the day at Villa Baha. During the week, we snorkeled at Cano Island, toured the Mangrove swamps, did the zip lines at Hacienda Baru, went horseback riding to Nauyaca Falls and went to the reptile zoo. The days we stayed at Villa Baha, we swam in the pool, played ping pong, snoozed in the hammocks, read on the patio and occasionally got to watch the neighborhood coati as it strolled through the yard. After most vacations, we’re usually ready to go home but not this time…it was really hard to leave! |

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Villa Baha. We felt at home instantly. My husband and I loved the master suite and our children enjoyed the ping pong table and the TVs. Best of all was the swimming pool and the outdoor dining area. We could have stayed forever.
Dominical itself was a lot of fun and we enjoyed several beaches and tours.
We highly recommend Villa Baha and hope that we can return one day. |

Villa Baha is a nice house built for personal use and not for the rental market. Beautifully decorated and well equipped. Set in secluded surroundings with a great view of the Pacific coast and ocean. We all enjoyed our stay including the kids (good selection of beaches with and without waves).
Strongly recommend going to Dominical and staying at villa Baha, for those interested in a quiet vacation off the over-beaten track. |
