Hank, your accommodations were great for us. The place is well taken care of and designed for group like ours (6). Nine others were staying at the Westin and twice we had the whole bunch over for meals and it was perfect! Everyone who saw the place had positive comments. We have no plans for returning at this point but be assured – if we return we will contact you. Thanks for a great stay.

| We recently rented this beautiful home for a family vacation and found it perfect for our large group of 9. The kitchen is fully stocked with salt/pepper, spices, flour, sugar, condiments, and even paper goods. This is different than most Kauai rentals where you have to purchase everything. The location is central to everything you need to do on the North Shore - you can walk to sunset at the end of the road, walk to sunrise at the hotel across the way and walk to three beaches just in the neighborhood. The house is cool and comfortable even during the heat of the day, and the fans you have in the bedrooms helped keep us cool at night. Thanks again for a wonderful experience. |

| Captain Drayton, my friends the Rileys and the Dobsons had your place a few weeks and upon arrival of the rest of the group, a few went to other rental properties. Nothing compares to Hale Kipa. Everyone compared their new digs to yours and the most often comment was, "Hale Kipa feels like home." When I arrived and went upstairs, I truly felt like I was home. As always, Rick is close by and a huge help if needed. |

The holidays are over and I wanted to take a brief moment to write to you and let you know how much we enjoyed our week at your house Hale Kipa. It was almost like being at home. Our kids and grandkids loved it. And everyone was trying to figure out how to smuggle those football sized avocados home. Instead we tried to eat every one off the trees (impossible) they were delicious, the house was grand and I think you had just about everything in stock. 1 item was a spaghetti scoop, I didn’t find one or I would have bought it for the kitchen . A very comfortable place. We will definitely make this a must do again. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve luau and my grandchildren were mesmerized by the fire dancers. And of course they lived on the beach every day of our vacation. We did drive south and visit your Grand Canyon and stopped and ate in some out of the way places, we were treated like royalty. This was a welcome relaxed vacation for all of us, with our son in medical school and his wife in charge of the 4 little ones almost 24-7, she really needed some down time. Even our little 1 yr. old learn to walk alone on this trip, so as I have stated it made many great memories for our family.

We certainly appreciated the use of your lovely home in Kauai. We plan a yearly trip with my sister and her family, and this one was our best yet. The comfort and convenience of Hale Kipa made our trip very special.
The kids loved Hideaways Beach and the pool. The parents loved the beauty and ambience of Kauai and Princeville in particular.
Thanks for making this a trip of a lifetime. |

| Very enjoyable 2-week stay! The golf course setting (and nice big yard) is beautiful and there is so much to do in the Princeville/Hanalei area. Highlights were Ke'e Beach, Backdoor Beach and Queen's Bath. And going for evening walks to Lappert's Ice Cream. Great accomodations for our large group (3 families & 11 people). The downstairs bedrooms were very comfortable and pleasant. |

| We had an awesome vacation with our family at Princeville, and our stay at Hale Kipa still is the #1 topic at our dinner table. It was the perfect setting and your home was the best "base camp" for all our adventures. Thanks again for making it available for us to enjoy....we're planning our return trip! |

We have just spent some time making improvements at Hale Kipa, and copied the comments below from the "Coffee Table Book" we leave in the house.

************************** The McQueeney’s from Greenfield, Indiana say “Thank You” for sharing a beautiful home & surrounding areas with us!
Coming to your beautiful home was a dream come true for our family – all 8 of us! The moment we walked in we felt comfortable and at home. Thank you for allowing us to share the beauty of this amazing island from you family’s home. This has been the trip-of-a-lifetime for us and we will never forget it. Mahalo!
We have come to celebrate 50 years of marriage with family. Nice to have wonderful accommodations. Certainly enjoyed Luau at the Princeville Hotel – recommended by Rick! Opportunity of a lifetime.

Our second stay at Christmas! We love celebrating at Hale Kipa! We are now calling it “Our house”. Enjoyed playing the Prince and Makai courses. Sushiblue is ouor favorite restaurant. Beached it at Tunnels, Kalihiwai and Anini beaches. Made almost daily use of Princeville Spa. Ouor tip is to negotiate the golf $$ at the Makai/Prince courses.

| We had 2 couples from Norway coming to Hawaii with us this year. We found your house on the internet, and it looked like the perfect solution for us. We could not have been more correct! The place was fabulous. If we return with more than just ourselves, we will be interested in staying there again. Mahalo and aloha. |

Captain Drayton,
Mahalo for opening up Hale Kipa to us again. This was my fourth visit and my brother's second. It feels like we were walking into our own homes again. Having previous guests leave/share amenities like books, water socks and other beach gear makes it a part of us forever. Mahalo again.

Thank You Mr. Drayton.
March 10,2005
Our stay was wonderful. The house was perfect. The amenities just right. You've obviously been at this a long time. This was our first trip to Hawaii, although one of our couples has been to many of the islands (the couple with no kids). We consisted of three sisters and their husbands, two of which are cousins and myself.
Two of the sisters have children, one with three boys and my wife with a boy and a girl (5 cousins between the ages of 3 and 7). We appreciate being able to include our children in your vacation home. We recognize children can be messy and destructive and we took great pride in keeping your home in fine shape.
Being my first trip to Hawaii, but traveling over the entire island, I think I like the north shore best and Princeville is certainly top of the line. We will probably visit the big island next and then return to Kauai for another trip. Being Alaskans we prefer to avoid the large population masses.
The web site is how my brother-in-law selected your accommodations. Our arrival impressions were fulfilled with the lovely setting. The weather was excellent the first week, then we encountered a rainstorm with 30 knot winds where we braved 18 holes of golf. The second week was partly sunny and we enjoyed every minute of it.
We especially liked the tennis court and nearby beaches. We fell into a routine of morning tennis and afternoons at the beach. The pool was also nice as a nearby distraction for the kids. A very quite neighborhood. I hope we were not too intrusive on your neighbors with our clan.
We did manage another round of golf in the back yard with excellent weather. I was so relaxed I played my best golf ever, and what a view on the ocean holes.
I don't know how you can improve on your facility. The kitchen and dinning areas are marvelous. We cooked every evening often on the bar-be-que, although I prefer charcoal grills. Cooking food is a big deal when we go camping, and our trip to Hawaii was like a 2-week camping trip to us.
Sharing the home with three couples made the value worth while for our income bracket. Thanks for your hospitality.
Mahalo

Our December 2004 trip was our third time at Hale Kipa. The fact that we, and others, keep coming back to the same vacation home over and over again, attests to the fact that it's a very comfortable, familiar, wonderful place to relax and really enjoy close friend's company. Hale Kipa is like our second home on our favorite island. From a former kamaiina, mahalo!

Hank, Your Kauai Home was incredible, we could not believe our luck when we saw it. We had a family wedding and hosted a party the day after, just a great house. It was very comfortable and kid friendly. I looked on the net for 6 months prior to choosing your home, I'm so glad I waited. We will definitely be returning. Thank you |
