We had a wonderful stay at this cabin in Sep'09 ! It was beautiful, fully stocked, and clean. Karen couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great time reconnecting with our family on this trip, and hope to visit again. We had 6 adults, 3 children, and 2 dogs, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We really enjoyed painting on the back porch, toasting marshmallows, and listening to the relaxing sounds of the river. (Tip: If you want to paint a rock, the painting supplies are under the bed and dresser in the master bedroom.) Have fun, we most certainly did!

Hello Karen! We are the Keen family we stayed in your cabin around May, and we had such a wonderful time. I especially loved waking up and going down by the river and playing with the 2 hound dogs and the smaller dog that hangs with them. The one that I favored over was the orageish Golden Retriever (the big dog). He was great and I always fed him and I think he liked me more because of it. He would stay with me all night and one night he didnt leave I was afraid that his owner would be worried about him. I called him Buddy. The day that we left he was following me while I was packing up the truck and when we started to back out I looked out the back window and he was sitting there looking at me and of course the baby I am when it comes to animals I won't lie I had some tears. He was the highlight of my trip. Your cabin was beautiful and I hope to vist again REAL SOON, I loved your little knick knacks! Great Trip! Best One Yet!

thanks so much for renting the cabin to us. everything was just perfect! it was so light and airy and Ava-Marie slept with the teddy bears every night. the view was great and she was so excited to see the cows come around the corner every morning. i sat in the hot tub for an hour and just relaxed and listened to the satellite TV music station ( which i am now in love with!) we have stayed at other cabins in the area that i was not happy with, so this was a breath of fresh air. we loved it and will def be back!!!

We just spent a wonderful week at the Dream Catcher cabin July 19-July 26, 2008. Now I can't wait until we can spend some time there after the leaves fall so we can also enjoy the winter views.
The cabin, itself, is lovely, and so comfy. I can't believe how much stuff that I packed thinking I might need it, only to arrive and see that you had already thought of everything. Next trip will be a breeze to pack!
The large screened-in back porch was probably our most favorite area! I spent the morning there with my cup of coffee watching the beautiful creek.
I also loved the location of the cabin. It is secluded, yet a very short drive to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge.
It was wonderful spending time with my family without all the distractions of the real world. We spent time exploring the grounds, playing games, shopping in Ellijay and Blue Ridge, even took the train ride.... but the time spent on the back porch just reconnecting as a family was absolutely precious.
Thank you offering your lovely property to us to recharge. We're all looking forward to spending more time there in the future.

Karen, I have been meaning to email you since last week. I just wanted to say how much we enjoyed your cabin. It was a wonderful time! My wife wanted to thank you also, she was surprised at how well it was stocked with spices, pans and even down to the champagne glasses. She said it was the first cabin we had stayed in that really felt like a home. We are looking at renting it next year if that is possible. How early would I need to let you know? Once again thank you it was wonderful and exactly what we needed.

Hi Karen, We wanted to let you know how much we ENJOYED staying in the Dream Catcher !! It was so lovely !! It was just what we all needed, to be out away from everything in a serene setting. I can't tell you how listening to the soft bellowing of the cows in the morning while we ate breakfast on the porch brought back the joyful memories of my childhood staying on my Grandmothers farm in Alabama. We explored the creek almost from one end to the other searching for crawdads and finding them and watching them scurry along. We really hope to be able to come and stay again soon !!!!! It was the most relaxing vacation we have had in years !!!!!! S. Bronga

My husband, 6 1/2 year old daughter, lab mix and senior parents just finished a wonderful 4 night stay at Dreamcatcher. The place and location are magical and the memories and connections made priceless. From reading in the hammock, seeing the fawn and doe everyday, splashing in the water or playing games in the great room, we never ahd any time for our planned outings we were having too much fun at the cabin!! You've thought of everything-the roasting forks for the firepit, the great sound and TV system, local info folder, etc Of all the cabin, camping and condo trips we've taken, your written directions for anything we might need made it so simple. Thanks for everything and we will definitely be back (the only thing we didn't like was not getting around to painting a river rock for the porch!!)

Dear Karen, I just wanted to thank you again for sharing your wonderful cabin with our family last week. We truly had the best vacation ever. My grandchildren loved wading in the river, and it was just the perfect depth for them (and us too, sitting in the adirondak chairs). Molly, our Irish setter, turned into a real mountain dog. John took her on long walks everyday at the Aska Rd trails and she was so tired that she behaved beautifully. We have stayed in 7 other cabins and yours is the best. I really appreciated having good reading lamps. The Sirius music was great, as well as the well-equipped kitchen.
Thanks again. We hope to stay there many more times in the future. Rosemary Lewis

Unfortunately, when other people read this review – they will want to come too! The, cabin is beautifully decorated in a Native American Motif, with every amenity anyone could want. The screened porch, overlooking the Ellijay River, is where we had all of our meals. In the evening, spending quite time with your special someone, while listening to the rambling river, is reason enough to come. We had a wonderful time, fly fishing, hiking, and enjoying the area – thank you. We look forward to coming back again…

Karen: We can't even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay at your cabin. It was simply the most amazing and relaxing jaunt we have had since our trip last year to Italy. We had a fire going the entire time and I made breakfast, lunch and dinner for my fiancé every day. We did take a trip to the Pink Pig to bring back to the cabin and, of course, you were right, it was amazing. We hardly did anything but watch movies and stroll your grounds the entire time. Sammy (our Golden Retriever) went bananas with all the cows, horses, donkeys and deer. It was hilarious. He was kissing the donkeys and the horses and running around like a crazy man. He never wanted to come inside. ha, ha, ha, ha. It was too funny. You truly provided EVERYTHING we needed to make the time feel like we were in our home. It was truly amazing. I spoke with several of my colleagues today, including my bosses, who are looking to rent your cabins. I told them that they will truly be astounded at everything detail you covered. My colleague Audrey Caston and her family are even more excited now that I am back and shared the beauty of your homes. We lacked absolutely nothing. Thanks to our experience at Dream Catchers, we are seriously thinking about buying a cabin somewhere now that we had this weekend. We didn't want to leave. I have to admit that the Native American/Southwestern motif was extremely dear to my heart as my grandparents were each half Cherokee. That touch alone made me feel completely at home. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We could not have been happier.
We look forward to renting from you again and spreading the word. Sincerely, Jackie, Bruce and Sammy Pie

Fanatastic cabin and easily accessible, It's not such a long drive for the kids. "Dream Catcher" was the best rental cabin out of dozens we had previously rented in North Georgia. We highly recommend Karen's cabin to anyone. Feel free to contact me by email if you have any questions...

Hi Karen, We've been home for a week and are still in the "relax" mode from being at your cabin! We had a great time and want to thank you - you do a tremendous job of getting info to your guests..and having the cabin be even better than advertised! So till next year..or maybe before..Thank you! Linda and Dick and of course, George The following is what you may want to put on the "guest comment" section of your website... We recently returned from a week's stay at Dream Catcher.. It was a relaxing, fun vacation..especially since our dog, George could go too. The cabin is beautifully furnished..well stocked kitchen and big fluffy towels, comfy beds and that wonderful big screened porch overlooking the river. We walked several times a day and met the donkeys and a cute little hound, who I named Daisy Mae..George found a girlfriend, so we had to visit everyday! George's first meeting with the donkeys was so funny..Our big 100# lab mix was about to touch noses with "Eeyore" thru the gate and "Eeyore" snorted! Our big brave dog JUMPED backwards 5 feet and "woofed"..scared the poor boy!! After that we took carrots to feed them and all became friends..In fact sometimes they galloped to meet us! We can't thank Karen enough for the hospitality..she has thought of everything to make a visit there a great experience..and she is so willing to answer questions with a smile in her voice. Can't wait to return! Linda, Dick and "George" Niceville, FL

I rented Dancing Waters w/a group of friends. The cabin was awesome. Plenty of room inside, although we didn't need it. We practically lived on the back porch, definitely the best feature to me. We sat for hours just talking and listening to the river. We have already discussed staying at Dancing Waters again. It is by far one of the best cabins we have ever rented. Thanks, Karen! We all had a wonderful time. And the fact that we could bring our dogs was icing on the cake. They had a ball!

We stayed at Dancing waters June 18-26, 2005 and we absolutely loved it! The weather was perfect and the cabin was beautiful. Your online photos do no justice to the cabin! This is really what a vacation is all about---we didn't want to go home! We are already making plans to revisit the cabin next summer.

We just came back from a week at the Dream Catcher and it was wonderful. This was our second trip there and both times we have truly enjoyed every minute we spent there. The first time was with our granddaughter and one of her friends. These two little girls didn't want to leave either and it was just for the weekend. I can imagine how they would react if they had been there for a week with us. Kelsey our granddaughter did get to spend one night with us this time. We had a time with her. She loves the woods as much as we do. Thank you for sharing your place with us. The Couch Family

We had a wonderful time in your cabin Dream Catcher. It was a home away from home. Sitting in the hot top under the stars was great. So much nature around you. We saw deer, rabbits, Wild Turkeys and an eagle everyday. We had wonderful walks every morning and evening. There are lots of quaint town around you with wonderful little shops. We can't wait to come back. Thank you so much for sharing your home away from home with us.

My family and I LOVED Dreamcatcher. Went north for my 40th birthday and could not have found a better place to spend time with the "kids". The cabin was beautifull. Was lovely to sit on the porch in the mornings with coffee, the river in the afternoons, by the firepit in the evenings and the hot tub before bed. Our two year old and the dog loved the river, quite refreshing as our harbor here is already 85 plus! and I don't think the dog drank out of her bowl once, every 10 minutes it was down to the river for a splash. I walked from the bend by the farm all the way downstream past River Dance cabin and back daily...lol. Just could not belive how well prepared everything was, we will be able to leave half the packing home next trip. Kitchen was nice and I'm sure it saved my wife lots of work :) (dishwasher, microwave, etc) though I grilled dinner everynight. The baby was a little fussy at nap time so the rocking chairs were handy (need one for our home). Everything we forgot was there and we left a little for the next group. The cabin easily slept our small clan so looking forward to inviting some friends next time, lots of room. Did a little exploring and went on the train ride one day and panned for gold on my birthday. Still pleanty to do next trip as we did not even get to the lake! All in all it was a great place to get away from everyone else. Saw some other people and heard a couple of cars but never felt the need to talk to anyone, and thats what the trip was all about, and did I mention the hot tub :)?. Walked the "kids" every morning up the lane to feed the horses and visit with the goats. Did not see much of the cows through the tree's but look forward to a winter trip for the views, could see some mountains off in the distance past the pasture.
Once again, our thanks. Seems sad to be home already agian :(

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Dreamcatcher on the River. The only problem was that it was just too short! The cabin was so well equipped and so cozy and comfortable that we only left once to go grocery shopping while we were staying there. It rained most of the days we were there so unfortunately we couldn't do much outside. We really were looking forward to a fire by the river and using the hammock but it was too wet. Sitting on the porch and listening to the sound of the rain on the roof was wonderful though and we were able to enjoy the river and just relax, which we really needed. We did manage to enjoy the hot tub between the rainy times.
The location of the cabin is wonderful and the setting is perfect. Couldn't see the cows too well (because the trees were all in full leaf) except when they came right to the river bank but we loved hearing them moo. The extra little things and attention to details in decorating and furnishing the cabin make it a very special place. It is obvious that your cabin is not just an ordinary rental property, but a real home. Thank you for sharing it with us. We will absolutely, definitely be back again! |

I just arrived back from a wonderful weekend at the Dreamcatcher cabin. I have stayed many places all over the world and found this to be one of the most relaxing and beautiful places ever. The creek was wonderful, a nap in the hammock listening to the wonderful water rippling over the rocks was a little bit of heaven. The cabin was lovely and was like a home with plenty of inspirational books to review or just rock on the porch while watching the water go by. I cannot wait until my next trip.

Hi Karen,
Today is my first day back after a perfect 4 night/5 stay at Dream Catcher on the River. It was just like I expcected, but even better. Your internet pictures of the cabins are right on. Ofttimes, I have found that pictures and brochures can be deceiving..which was far from the case here. We have been going to the Blue Ridge area for approximately 10 years, and have stayed in numerous cabins. Dream Catcher on the River, is by far, now our favorite place. The cabin is "awesome" and it is evident that a lot of thought went into the furnishings. The views are beautiful. The boys had a great time (ages 15 & 16) fishing in the river, tossing horseshoes, bulding bonfires climbing trees even at their age. They also enjoyed the hot tub when it was vacant. My husband and I relaxed in it at least twice each day, enjoying the views, and watching the cows, particularly the baby calves which were very amusing. One evening, we were enjoying the hot tub, while the boys were playing horseshoes, and had the speakers on on the screened in porch. Across the river on the other bank was an otter who paid no attention to us at all. Deer were all over the property. This was my kitty's first vacation with us and she lived on the porch, and enjoyed every moment of it...she is not allowed outside. I was somewhat hesitate about making reservations through the internet, and PayPal. I do not give out my credit card number under any circumstances for pleasure or business trips. I was very surprised on how easy it was to complete. I am certainly glad now that I did not hesitate too long and pass up the wonderful experience we all had while visiting Dream Catcher on the River. I would, and already have, recommended Dream Catcher on the River, to my family and friends. We can not wait to return. Thank you for all your hospitality. |

I found you on the net and planned our family weekend. Everyone was so thrilled with the accommodations. I personally was thrilled to find such comfortable mattresses! The decor was wonderful...we loved the bear skin rug! Great weather allowed outside time...sitting in the sun, walking up the road to feed apples to the mule was a treat for young and old alike. Can't wait to do it again!

A wonderful escape! This cabin is so much more like someone's home that the typical rental. It's FULLY outfitted and decorated, and so comfortable. The setting is perfect for relaxation, inside, outside on the very large screened-in porch, or relaxing in the hot tub or hammock. And the location is perfect too - midway between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. This is one place you will not want to leave!

We just got back from a fabulous staff retreat at Dream Catcher cabins. Both cabins were absolutely beautful inside and out. They combined natural beauty with all the modern amenities we could have asked for; they offered a private hideaway and yet were easily accessible from the city -- all in all, Dream Catcher cabins provided something for everyone, and all of us are looking forward to next year's retreat!

Hi All! I think I speak for all of us in saying that our week's stay was so very wonderful and needed! We rose every morning eagerly and went to bed every night reluctantly. The beauty and purity that surrounded us provided us with such peaceful countenance! While at your 'Dreamcatcher' we were in need of nothing else but what we experienced. Of course, the Pink Pig was superb and we went twice to enjoy the BBQ and cobbler! We all had our most precious memories.. fireflies, tubing, enjoying the river every day for hours on end..coffee at dawn and games at night.. bonfires/smores and just plain laughter and good times! Our heartfelt thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us! We are trying to plan for some time this upcoming fall.. We all left a piece of ourselves in Georgia. Thank you again and hope to see you again.. SOON!
