Left the husband and dogs at home this trip and came up with my yoga buddies for our Second Annual Yoga Retreat. Five great classes in four days! (If anyone needs a rundown on the yoga studios in the area, just email me.)

From the Cabin Guestbook: We set out to find a great mountain cabin to enjoy with our two children and our dog during school break. The only problem was that we were a little late looking, and most of the attractive "pet friendly" cabins were booked. We had pretty much given up hope when we stumbled across Wesser Heights! Wow, were we glad that we found this wonderful place! Our family has had the best family vacation yet. Our kids (ages 7 & 9) both agreed that our week here in the mountains was even better than our trip to Disney World. That says a lot coming from them! We loved this area and this wonderful cabin and are already talking about coming back soon!

July 2009. This is a very nice home. Comfortably furnished, including a king-sized bed. Good kitchen. Great view of the Smokies and close to Nantahala Gorge and many hiking trails. And the owners accept pets.
Among the nearby sites worth visiting are the model train museum (with 7,000 plus trains and an operating three-tier platofrm) in Bryson City and the Cherokee Museum in Cherokee. |

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at the cabin! We were up there earlier this month and had a great time -- we particularly enjoyed watching the fireflies at night. For future reference, we have changed property managers, and as part of that change, we will no longer charge an addtional pet fee. Just let us know in advance that's you're bringing your pet.
