| The house was lovely and accommodated the 8 of us (5 adults, 2 teenagers and a child) comfortably. The neighbourhood was nice too (in the UK we do not celebrate Hallowe'en the way the Americans do so it was a huge novelty to my 7 year old to see all the Hallowe'en decorations outside the houses). There is a diner in maplewood which we really recommend called the mapleleaf diner - excellent food, lovely staff, excellent value. Staff at the local train station really nice too. Jitney bus service staff a bit hit and miss (one driver spent all his time on his phone and took us in the wrong direction) but it is an easy walk from station to the house - we only got the bus because we had a very tired little girl coming home from NY. Spectacular setting for a holiday in Autumn (fall). We were sorry to go home. |

| Our party of 9 stayed at Nicole and Daniel's property in Maplewood, New York over Easter 2009. On our arrival, there was a welcome pack containing an Easter cake and goodies... a lovely touch. The house was lovely and comfortable and in a perfect location for visiting the City! First Class accommodation! The beds were very comfortable and much appreciated after hectic days walking and site seeing!! The 30 minute train journey to the City was very relaxing and staying in Maplewood enabled us all to enjoy the 2 sides of the area; the relaxing and friendly community of Maplewood and the hussle and bustle of the City. There were a number of very good restaurants and diners in Maplewood and all of the locals were extremely friendly and welcoming. Nicole was extremely helpful with regards to booking tickets and taxis and made our stay a very enjoyable one. Our party had a combination of children, teenagers and adults and all of us had a fantastic holiday. We would highly recommend this property and the area of Maplewood as a perfect base for exploring New York City and would have no heistation in returning there in the future! Many thanks Nicole and Daniel |

| Fantastic - I typed vacation rental near New York in to google and within an hour managed to find this gorgeous house at a far lower cost than staying at a hotel in New York, plus we saved on food and had somewhere secure to park our cars ( not to mention far more room than you get in your average hotel room). The house has brilliant facilities ( the bathrooms look quite 50s but the water is hot and they are fitted with powerful showers). The house has a lot of the original features and is a great place to relax when you come back from a busy day in New York. There are laundry facilities and comfortable modern furniture throughout as well as plenty of clean towels and bedding. There were only 6 of us in the house so we had tonnes of room! Easily accomodates for 6 adults + 3 kids ( or 3 adults willing to share a room!) It is in a quiet area - I walked back alone at about 10pm one evening and felt perfectly safe! It is about 10-15 mins walk to the station and there is a fast commuter train in to New York ( 30-40 minute journey). There is a supermarket and market nearby. I will definately be back next time I am visiting New York. |

| Spacious home - great location! The home was just what we expected from the pictures. The neighborhood was charming as the trees and azaleas were all in bloom during our visit. We found the home to be very clean (better than many hotel rooms!) My husband has a bad back and we were pleased that the beds were so comfortable. We would definitely recommend this home to our friends and would certainly consider another stay. |

| My sisters, our mother, my nieces and I (8 females altogether!)stayed at this house and we had a great time. We felt like it was our "home away from home".We were comfortable and didnt feel crowded in the least. When we arrived there were coffee, tea, cookies, and popcorn available for us as well as the basic staples need for daily living. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The train station was very close for our trip into NYC. We would recommend this house to our friends considering a trip to NY. |

| We stayed at The Maplewood Home from September 4th for a week. The house is lovely - comfortable and homely and Nicole provided some welcome touches, including tea, coffee and biscuits (cookies!). It was also great to have dishwasher powder, foil wrap and washing powder etc - these items are not always privided in house rentals. I would recommend Maplewood house to all - it is in a great position, a short stroll from the train station and just 30 minutes into Penn Station, but a 40 minute drive south took us to the beautiful Jersey shore. We had a wonderful time and to hope to return. Many thanks |

Thank you so much Nicole!!! The house was wonderful. We stayed 6 people for 2 weeks from July 11th to July 25th 2008. Let me start by saying that you can't help wonder, how the house is gonna look when you arrive. Is it gonna be at all like the pictures?, is it gonna work out with the key? etc. But everything was perfect. Perfect location for a getaway to NY if you don't wanna pay a lot of money for a hotel since the train is so easy to use. Can only give my biggest recommendations to anyone, wanting to rent this house. And I/We will probably come back again sometime. Henriette Pedersen and Friends, Denmark |

| Had an absolutely brilliant stay at this spacious and comfortable home! Every convenience was available both inside and outside the home - it really lived up to everything on our wishlist for a really great first holiday in the States. The house is very near to shops (including a Cafe bar located on Prospect Street - left at traffic lights that served breakfast when we didn't feel up to making it!) - there were also restaurants, hairdressers etc, all within a 5 minute walk and with a walk of approx 15 mins the village of Maplewood with local train station direct to NYC and a village pub that serves the best Guinness outside of Ireland! The holiday was undoubtedly made easy from the start as the owner has put together a really useful Maplewood Guide book with plenty of useful information that really helped us plan routes etc. The trip to/from Newark airport was really easy - just as easy to travel by taxi to/from airport and then use local trains into NYC (Penn Station takes you right to a very central place next to Madison Square Gardens and on the next corner the Empire State building is in sight). Will definitely recommend this holiday home and plan to return again hopefully in the near future! |

What a fantastic house, when you book on the internet you can never be sure what the property will be like,a great big lens can make even the smallest bedroom look cavernous, but this house was just as described, huge!! The area of Maplewood was lovely with the park and the walks. We stayed from 1st-10th August and had a really lovely time. The Jackson Family. England |

Our family stayed here on June 24th through June 28th. This house was an absolute doll house! We had 8 eight people and had plenty of room for everyone. Owner Nicole was great to talk with and helped us far more than what she had too (we left some things and she sent them to us). Not knowing what to expect I was hoping the house I booked would be at least ok. When we got to the house I knew I did good. But when we went inside the the house it felt good when my family kept saying "Mike you did good on this one" The house was great but what made the house wonderful was the little touches Nicole had made. Like the basket of goodies with a little note welcoming our stay. a folder she had for us with neighborhood restaurants (with menus), pharmacies, local stores, emergency numbers, a train schedule, etc. She even left craft paper and crayons for the kids. The house was great, the neighborhood was very pleasant and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again. Do not know if you (Nicole) have been doing this long but you do know what you are doing. Keep up the good work. Excellent house, super nice person. I give it a 10 out of 10. Feel free to contact me if you want to know anything about our stay. Mike |
