We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Treasure Cay-- the perfect getaway for our honeymoon. We too visited during hurricane season, a little risky, but worth the privacy. We found the locals to be very warm and inviting. There was the perfect mixture of enough to do, and enough NOT to do... fantastically relaxing after a stressful wedding weekend.

We recently stayed in Condo 1207 for a week. We were fortunate the weather was wonderful (since it was during hurricane season) and the beach was just gorgeous. We found the people of Treasure Cay very sweet, friendly and helpful. It was very quiet and relaxing. We decided, if we return to Treasure Cay, we should make it during the quiet season again.

My husband and I stayed in unit 1204 for 6 weeks this past winter. It is a very nice condo, decorated nicely, cheerful and comfortable. Lee was very accomodating and a real nice person to deal with. Great vacation.

After traveling to Treasure Cay in 1981 with my parents...TC stuck in my head. My 2nd vist was everything I had hoped for and more. The beach was perfect and not crowded, heck, most days we were the only ones out there.

The condo was just fine for our needs, but it being right after a major hurricane, there were a couple of problem with the island. The water pressure was really low at the time and power outages at local shops made it hard to do everything we wanted to do. We only had one place to eat at night for the first 4 nights (so we cook alot, which was good for our wallet) within walking distance.

The only other thing that I don't see anyone mention where the bug bites. You need to bring the strongest stuff you can find. We went out on the beach before sunrise to take pictures and had about 30 bits each...serious! Bring some witchazal with ya!

All that aside, the place is just Beautiful, Peaceful and the Friendliest people you'll meet.

Our week in Treasure Key was soooooo beautiful and relaxing. Everything needed was at hand in the well- furnished condo. Lee was extremely helpful in getting flight info, and Gordon met us promptly and shared lots of comments about the area.
In spite of a few days of showers, we enjoyed the magnificent beach and marina area. Local food was excellent (also Florence's cinnamon buns - WOW!)
We'd recommend Treasure Key to anyone looking for a quiet, warm and friendly hideaway.

Treasure Cay is definitely aptly named as it is a real treasure. We had the most wonderful and relaxing vacation we have ever had. The location of Mariners Cove is absolutely perfect as it gives you the very best access to everything. We rented a golf cart for the two weeks as we played a lot of golf but you certainly could get along without it with no problem.

The golf course is just great and everyone there was simply terrific. We will definitely be returning to Treasure Cay again and again. It is a very favorite spot and we will remember this special vacation very fondly.

Leslie and I totally enjoyed our stay at Mariner's Cove; Lee and Kerry have a cozy spot and a prime location for enjoying both the marina and the beach and beyond. The bikes make everything you may need that much closer.
We started each day with coffee on the patio overlooking the marina soaking in the first rays of sunshine and greeting the occasional boaters and their dogs. We can't talk about
this vacation with our friends without interjecting the word "relaxing" every other word or so. Our two weeks were a wonderful swirl of swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, preparing our favorite meals, dancing under stars, and laying on the beach and by the pools reading and gazing at each other.
Trips to Marsh Harbor, Green Turtle and Man O War are a must. We would definately go back to Abocos in a heart beat.
One bit of advice about cell phone use. If you expect and are counting on using cell phone technology while in paradise, contact your cell provider before you go and make sure your phone will work with the Bahamas somewhat arcaic system.
We would be remiss without thanking Lee for his help and advice with airlines etc, and Gordon Murphy for his prompt service and insightful and humorous take on his native islands and the rest of the world. Thanks Again!

My husband and I had a wonderful 2nd
honeymoon at Treasure Cay. The weather
couldn't have been more perfect, and we
were in awe at how beautiful the area is.

Having the beach just across the street is
ideal and being close to the marina made
for easy access to restaurants, groceries,
phones, not to mention wireless internet
access (which we're using to write these
comments.)

It was the perfect vacation, and we plan on
coming back soon!

Thanks!

Treasure Cay - an antidote to the chaotic world around us. The chill-out was enhanced by being in a quiet period and the tail end of Tropical Storm 'Odette' keeping boats in the harbour. However, it is difficult to imagine even in the 'high' season, how it would be possible not to relax and enjoy.
Without the boats taking us off to the reefs, we just had to make our own entertainment - walking on fabulous beaches with the company of the local dogs who think intruders are the best thing (walks, tickling of tummies, the odd tit bit, etc.), biking, taking of the ferries from Marsh Harbour to the other Cays or even just watching the local lizards who curl their tails before running. One can even amuse the locals by trying to climb the palms to retrieve coconuts but it is easier to just pick them up and open them for the milk and the flesh. (Note to Lee - a small machete in the condo wouldn't come amiss for said coconuts, otherwise the condo had everything)
For those who are thinking of coming - stop thinking, just come, chillout and enjoy.

We had a great honeymoon at the condo. It is the perfect place for a couple seeking a quiet vacation. The beach is a 5 minute walk and is beautiful; the marina is right out your back door. We enjoyed learning to scuba dive with the dive shop and renting a boat for the day to go island-hopping. We also liked eating lunch at the beach bar and cooking dinners in the condo. This place is off the beaten path and very relaxing. Not a place to go if you are looking to party, but wonderful for a getaway.

HI Lee and Kerry,
MY husband and I would like to Thank You for the use of your condo, we had a GREAT time. It is just as you said BEAUTIFUL and relaxing. We met Linda and got 16 tails and enjoyed them until we were just stuffed, as well as the fish from Anne in the laundry.
We dove with Brent and it was the best dive yet. We had a tour all to ourselves. It was a slow week there and it worked out great for us. We also rented a boat for 2 days and that was wonderful, when our first boat broke down where the "old dolphin tank" was across from T. C. James came right out and brought us another one, and we didn't miss a beat. We went from there to Nipper's for the pig roast. GREAT FOOD. We had one day the wind was to bad to go on the boat or dive so we rented a car and went to March Harbor and went to Mermaid Reef.
The bikes are a must have we LOVED them. Now we want our own bikes.
All was perfect and you have a great place there, The people we met were friendly and helpful.
Thank You for all the info you provided it was very helpful.
We even took your advice and brought our own lunchmeat and cheese, as well as steaks. Another great bit of advice.
We will call you when we need another relaxing weekend.

1204 Mariner's Cove- Has everything you need- we have just come back and wish we were still there- Ocean is awesome- pool & tennis just steps away from your door- Ahh the Bahamian people- all so wonderful- Tip for your enjoyment- IF you get jelly fish stings- use the white vinegar (left in cupboard) directly on sting- takes itch & sting away- Also- Rent a car & have great food at Nancy's in Sandy Point on Bay street on the harbour - that's past Marsh harbour passed Crossing Rocks- Fresh Lobster- fresh cooked and served with black peas & rice- mmm- Can't wait to be back! (or bike to the Disco- just out of Treasure Cay on your way to the airport- for lunch- great homemade coconut cake-) oh yes- don't forget to oil the bike chains & pedal cranks before you go- they ride smoother!) HAVE FUN!!

wow...where do i begin...this was by far the best vacation in our lives... the water was beautiful and always warm (like bath water but still refreshing) the people were very friendly and helpful...and as you might read in the guestbook at the condo, you must check out the beach behind the church...we had the beach all to ourselves and it seemed as if nothing had ever been touched...it was beautiful...although i want to explore different regions, i still keep saying to myself "maybe i'll Just go back to the bahamas"

We had such a great time. As the pictures I took attest, we were obsessed with the clarity of the water and the coolness of the water. Living on the beach in CA, the only thing we miss is warm water. We were not disappointed in Treasure Cay.
The condo is perfect for a couple, all of the ammenities and a perfect location for all needs:beach, food, drink, email. And Lee, you were the perfect host; thank you for all of your help in booking this. Sara and Michael Paul

The area is so quiet and peaceful. I caught up on all the sleep I have missed over the last year. The beach is huge with cool white sand. The water is so calm, that children are safe playing with no worry of waves. We visited a small island called Shell Island. It is man made and very small, but has the cutest little shells with tiny hermit crabs living in them. It was fun to watch some of the shells just get up and walk away. We will definitely return to Lee and Kerry's perfect condo.

This area is serene, beautiful and undiscovered. There are plenty of activities if just relaxing at the beach isn't enough. The condo complex is nice and situated conveniently to transportation, shopping, banking watersports, golfing, and very easy access to the beach. We loved exploring the other islands and they are like paradise also. Riding the bikes was easy and made you feel like you were at least getting some exercise. We had one of our best ever vacations.
