Great week! 7 of us vacationed in your home. Beach, pool, hot tub & game room kept the children happy!! Our middle son loves skateboarding. He took full advantage of the YMCA. We have been vacationing here since 2001 and finally found the perfect house. See you next year!

We loved our stay at St. Victoria. We had a lot to do like swimming, going to the beach, playing pool, air hockey and foosball. My mom loves the fact that there's an elevator. My dad loves the fact that all us kids are having fun! Thank yo. Smile.

For most of our group, this was the first real beach vacation we had. The KIDS loved the game room and pool and the adults appreciated all the space and amenities. Previous renters mentioned the lack of an intercom. However, "our intercom" worked well. But we had sore throats and no voices by the end of the week because of out repeated use of "the intercom".Smile.

Our group's favorite activities were the beach, parasailing, the dolphinator, and quality time together. Thanks for sharing your house. We will be doing this again should we return to the area.
Extra activities....$$Lots. Smile
Food for 7 days for 10 adults and 5 kids....$Not as much as expected.
Watching the kids play in the ocean.....Hugs and kisses
Fun and games and another Voges-Steibel family adventure....Priceless!

Thanks!

Homeowner Response:
Thanks for the comments, Savannah. I set up the house to please all who vacation there. I believe that if my family can't enjoy vacationing at the house, I have no business renting it out to other families. So, I'm glad you enjoyed the house.

Arrived here at 4:10 p.m. Everyone thrilled at first impression of your lovely home. Love the layout - grandkids really liked the game room and the swimming pool. The weather was perfect - rained 8/23/08 - day before we left. Went walking on the beach, found sea horse. Put back in ocean, took pictures of it. We all really enjoyed our stay here.

What a wonderful vacation. The home is beautiful. This is a dream come true for my husband and I. We always wanted to vacation with our children & their children. What a great way to reconnect with the ones who mean the most to us! Beside relaxing here, by the pool or just "hanging out" our day trips were fun. Rodanthe Beach, Bodie Island, etc.
This was our second visit with our family, and hope to do it next year. For all who reads this: "Enjoy these times, Time slips by quickly. Have fun.

Thank you for a wonderful week. The heated pool was appreciated our first few days when the weather was a bit chilly. The close proximity to Jockey's Ridge State Park & the Snowbird Ice Cream Shop were appreciated, as was the wagon. The service at the Dunes Family Restaurant was stellar and the Clam Bake for Two from the Sugar Shack was very good.
The Bodie Island Lighthouse was picturesque as was the Pea Island Natural Preserve. The Currituck Lighthouse was interesting to climb with 2 little kids. It was a shame it was too windy to step on the observation deck.
Kitty Hawk Kites at Jockey's Ridge had great T-shirts while the ubiquitous Super Wings had few souvenirs for the kids. Thanks from the Jeffrey Family.

What a wonderful stay we all had here! The house was much more impressive than the internet pictures. This was our first family vacation in about 15 years! We had 7 adults....the elevator was a real blessing. We wouldn't have been able to pick this house otherwise. Everything was very clean and cozy. We had many meals together around the dining room table and played board games around it late each night. We also loved the game room (one of the reasons this house stood out to us when we were shopping online); the whole family played many a pool game down there. A couple of suggestions: (1) having some sort of seating up on the crow's nest would be nice (2) an intercom would be really helpful (3) maybe get some new chairs for the outdoor eating porch (4) the one bedroom on the middle level is really tight quarters. Perhaps the room could have a mounted ceiling TV like the other rooms.
But even if you don't change any of these things, it's still a wonderful home that anyone would be blessed to stay in. Thanks for all the conveniences, improvements and upkeep. We had a great week!

Lovely home. Wish we had better weather. First 4 days cold - 40 to 55 degrees. We made good use of the YMCA! 2 families - 4 adults, 4 children ages 14 years down to 1 and half. Enjoyed the elevator - wish there was an intercom to call to different levels. We also used the hot tub frequently. The Wright Bros Museum was OK. Not much excitement for the kids. Bowling was fun but a bit expensive. The movie theatre was great - saw 21. Our favorite event was going to Jockey State Park and climbing the sand dunes! A++ event. We brought a kite and watched it soar. Rode a little trolley (mine-shaft carts) to get to the 1st hole at Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf - great course! We also did Jurassic Putt - not as good as the first. Excellent meals at Miller's on the Water. Last 2 sunny days 70+ weather. Beach was nice........ We enjoyed our stay and hope to return again.

The home's beautiful, enjoyed game room, hot tub and screened porch. Lighthouses, Ocracoke, food, a good time for sure. The "Y" the ultimate, got in a lot of that. We got up to Currituck Lighthouse - a great trip. We first did the Jeep ride to see wild horses - Bobs - would recommend for sure. Can't believe how many houses are on remote beach - which you can reach by 4-wheel drive only. Thanks for sharing your home. We had 3 adults and 2 children.

"We're Back"!! (see p. 1) Three really nice beach days, cooler cloudy days and wind. The pool was a lifesaver again! Rented Jeeps and did the Wild Horse Tour, very nice! Fishing trip cancelled so we had to buy our own fish to fry (Austin Fish Market). Scallops were excellent. Enjoyed your home and the Nags Head area. It's our favorite. Thank you for sharing your home with our families 6 adults and our children ages 12 to 25, all had a blast!!

We had the greatest time! We swam in the pool everyday. Me & my coz loved the game room. We didn't really leave the house (haha) except for these times - to go see the Wright Brothers, Beach, gocarts, fish, wild horses, we stayed around the house. The TV was very tricky. We hope to come back.

PS: We had no probs at all.

Fantastic House, had a blast! Upstairs TV major pain to work, Be careful, all noises carry in house, sometimes hard to get kids to bed. Must do - Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockeys Point Dunes, ride up to Corolla to look for wild horses, and 4-wheeling on any beach. Lots of fun things and stores on Virginia Dare Blvd within walking distance. Don't do the dunes until late afternoon or evening (Too hot in mid-day). Sunsets are great everywhere! Beach is beautiful but currents are tricky! Fishing from Pier was fun. Half the people were wery nice. Half still fighting the Civil War and had attitudes, just smile and move on.
Good food: Tortugas Lie & Barefoot Bernie's
Not good: North Carolina Seafood.

We arrived to find a town right out of the American Homes Novel. We enjoyed the location and beautiful view. One wek was not enough to see and do all of the Outer Banks. The house was perfect. Needed a lot of little fix-up and cleaning - but perfect for a family vacation.

Things to know:
1. 7pm is a good time to go to Nags Head Pier - we saw a school of dolphins and a school of stingrays!!
2. Rent Bikes!! Sooo much fun!!! Be careful at night though, rowdy roads up and down the beach.
3. There isn't a Starbucks anywhere to be fuond but ther is a great coffee shop just one mile South of 158. Right next to "LIfe is Good" store.4. The Lost Colony Play is good but should state 12 and over. Hard for small kids to understand - Part Great History - to Do.

Homeowner Addendum: Cleaners replaced, new ones doing a good job.

My family enjoyed our stay in your home. We were lucky to have some beautiful weather despite the hurrican that blew through the week before. This was the biggest, nicest, most comfortable home we've ever stayed in & we hope to return another summer. We really enjoyed the game room, private pool, & hot tub. We wished the volleyball/badminton net area had been mowed or weeded, but we used it as is. The walk to the beach wasn't too far & we enjoyed a sunrise from the highest deck! One last wish would be for softer mattresses, but you can't have it all. Thanks for a great vacation!

Had a great time. Weather was fabulous & HOT!! House was great too! TV is really tricky to figure out. Elevator was super for all lur groceries! We had a blast and can't wait to come back next year! Hot tub was great and it took brains to figure out how to get it below 102 degrees. Other than small malfunctions and so little time we had a blast!
PS: Ice cream shop is a short walk and well worth it. See you next year!

The stay was outstanding. Everything in the house was in great condition. Except for the pool table in which case black electrical tape fell off revealing a large crack. It was fine though. The crack did not affect our already poor play (joke). All in all the beds were comfortable and the house was great, especially the pool. Very warm. Thanks for a great stay.

Our stay was a lot of fun. We found a wonderful food store (HARRIS TEETERS)- brand new and very nice (Milepost 10). We enjoyed great theme nights for dinner. Each group picked a food ethnic (Italian, Hawaiian etc) and decorated for such - we had fun with family and friends and would love to come back again.

Our families enjoyed spending our vacation here at your lovely home. The weather was hot and humid nearly everyday bubut the pool provided a quick and fun way to cool off. We frequently used the volleyball net in the pool. There were some pretty intense matches. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The elevator wan as enormous amount of help considering we had a handicap person with us. It allowed him to be a part of everyday activities. We had an interesting wake up call at 5:00 am when the fire alarms suddenly went off. After waiting to see if they would go off on their own, we were forced to call the fire dept who were helpful. Your house is beautiful and provided plenty of room for all. Looking forward to our next vacation! We hope to return to "Saint Victoria".

(7/17-7/24/05)I had looked so forward to the trip since we finalized everything with you in February. It was an awesome week and the house was more than we expected. You over delivered on your promise of a beautiful home, and the pictures did not do justice to what we found. I wish you could have heard the excitement of all of my family; especially the kids as they arrived at Saint Victoria. There was surprise around every corner. It was everyone's dream and the week unfolded to be just perfect. When you visit your house please read our entry in your guest book. You will get a flavor of the action packed week we had filled with a variety of activity, cooking and eating as varied as the members of my family....The weather was extremely HOT. 100+ heat indexes, but how can you complain about that when you have a beautiful pool and an ocean in your backyard. I came away with a nice tan and lighter hair than I arrived with. Didn't use the hot tub much, but really wanted to. Just too darn hot. The YMCA was a great benefit and we took advantage of the Parent's Night Out with the younger kids in our group. I think we would have spent more time there if the weather had been poor.
We just had a wonderful time and I could go on forever about it. All in all it was an A+ vacation. I came back to work and everyone said I look so relaxed and healthy. I lead a pretty hectic life and it was such a blast to truly get away. I look back with a big smile as I think of my week at St. Victoria and my first trip to the Outer Banks. I can say with certainty that we will return. I hope it will be an annual event, but there is always the challenge for it to be as spectacular as the first time.

We loved our stay in Nags Head. There are 11 of us in our family and we all found a comfortable place to sleep. The four grandsons slept in the bunk beds and the granddaughter slept in her own room with her own twin bed. We loved the pool, especially the rafts and the noodle, and the hot tub. The walk to the beach was so quick and easy. We all (well, almost all of us) took turns on the boogie boards that we bought. The beach is so clean and beautiful! We took many, many family pictures at the beach. We took excursions to the Currituck Lighthouse (though we never climbed to the top), and to the NC Aquarium - really terrific!! We ate lots of good food from Pizza Oven and Jockey's and the Yellow Submarine. Mostly we just relaxed! The days flew by and we had a terrific time! Thanks for helping us make wonderful memories!

When we pulled up to the house, we were thrilled to arrive finally from Kansas City and we were pleased with the look of the place from the road. We proceeded to head into the house and check out all the rooms, decks, furnishings, pool, hot tub, etc. It was all that we had hoped for, and the house became a comfortable home to us for the week. After a lot of meals together and a handful of Outer Banks experience, we leave with a touch of sadness but more importantly with reinvigorated hearts and spirits refreshed. Here are a few of our experiences: volleyball in the pool; chasing crabs on the beach in the moonlight (kids loved that); eight ball and cut-throat on the billiard table, boogie boards in the surf.....climbed to the top of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse; fishing from Nags Head Pier;....dolphin watching in the Sound; ...kayaking at Pine Island; visit to Wright Brothers National Memorial, shopping for T-shirts and fudge; chip and putt golf; Jockey's Ridge State Park.
