We have found a slice of heaven on Lanai and the perfect place to stay on our vacation. This lovely condo has it all! It is quiet, very clean, and welcoming. It is well appointed with beautiful art work, upscale furnishings, and the kitchen is supplied with all one needs for cooking, including spices. It has ample towels for bathing and the beach as well as additional linens and blankets if needed. Though not right on Hulopoe Beach, the unobstructed ocean view is beautiful. We sat on the lanai at night & watched the stars. The night sky is as beautiful as any I have ever seen. With your choice of an indoor or outdoor private shower, we found both to be equally wonderful. For movie watchers, they have a great DVD library. We love the Island of Lanai & have deemed it our favorite island even though we were married on Kauai 22 years ago. If you are like my husband & I, a hustle and bustle environment is the last way you want to spend your vacation and we have found the perfect solution on the Island of Lanai. It is tranquil, beautiful, very few people compared to surrounding islands and the locals are welcoming. Don’t let this fool you though - Lanai has everything you need with a gas station, a couple of markets, restaurants and fine dining as well. Yes, I said, “fine dining”. The owner of the condo recommended the Lanai City Grille to celebrate our anniversary. The food was sumptuous & the presentation, right out of Gourmet Magazine. It was amazing! We also went to Manele Bay Resort for breakfast and dinner and it was wonderful as well. In Lanai City, the Blue Ginger was a great find for a quick breakfast or lunch. The Mike Carroll Gallery is a must see as well. Mike & his staff are wonderful & his work is absolutely beautiful. He also features other artists as well. The golf courses are gorgeous, and there are plenty of other activities for those who want more than a good book and the beach. Speaking of the beach, there were very few people & while we were watching the waves, a pod of dolphin were playing just off shore. What more could you want??? A couple of recommendations 1) For first timers, arrive before dark. The road from the airport to the resort is dark at night and a bit curvy so I would recommend arriving on Lanai prior to dusk. 2) Grocery shopping is about 15 minutes away and most stores are closed on Sunday so get your grocery shopping done by Saturday. You won’t be disappointed in this beautiful condo or the lovely Island of Lanai if you are looking to relax, clear your mind and rejuvenate the soul. It sure worked for us! Our only regret…we didn't have enough time & we were not ready to leave so we have scheduled our next visit and it can’t come soon enough! Aloha and enjoy!
